Novel Fishing Lure
20230263144 · 2023-08-24 ·

The disclosure provides various components for a fishing lure. These components include a Hard Bodied Ballast Oscillator (“HBBO”) which oscillates around various axes, an HBB with positive lift that rises during retrieval, and a hook for use in a rigid body which, while being fished, remains at least partially inside the body and reliably pointing upwards, and which, when the fish bites, is at least partially exposed. In some cases multiple components may be connected to each other via a stiff wire and designed to maintain, in the water, a particular orientation of the components relative to each other.

A fishing lure comprises a body having a front end and a rear end. A cavity is positioned towards the front end of the body, and the cavity has a longitudinal direction. A connection member is located at least partially in the cavity and retained thereto by one or more retaining members. Each retaining member is able to extend into the cavity to retain the connection member in the cavity in use. The connection member is able to move, in use, in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction.

Fishing Lure with Changeable Direction
20230413795 · 2023-12-28 ·

A steerable top water fishing lure featuring a line attachment point located .sup.th to of the total length of the lure from the top of the lure. The line attachment point is located on a frontal plane which is wider than the depth of the body of the lure. The Fishing lure is also buoyant and features a center of gravity located between .sup.rd and of the length of the total lure from the top of the lure as well as a propeller/tail/blade attached to the body. The combination of these features allows this lure when cast to travel on its side laterally from the direction of shortest travel back to the angler. Due to the lures design, when the lure is twitched/pulled sharply, the force of the twitch will cause the lure to overcome the force of the water on the frontal plane of the lure. This imbalance of force causes the top of the body to exit the surface of the water and invert facing the opposing direction. When the body of the lure lands on the surface of the water, the previous side which was oriented down will be oriented up and the side which was oriented up will be oriented down. Because the lure has inverted and is now riding on its opposing side it will start to travel the opposite direction until twitched again or the retrieve is stopped. This action allows for the angler to steer this lure around cover where other lures cannot go, while never submerging where the lure could potentially get snagged.

A lure that can further effectively appeal to fish underwater (especially fish lurking in deep waters) by sending feeding sounds and bubbles downwards more reliably is disclosed. The lure comprises a body having a shape resembling a small fish; and a cup that is attached to the body 3, and that has the recessed space for containing air when the body enters water. With this configuration, the lure can effectively appeal to fish underwater (especially fish lurking in deep waters) by sending feeding sounds and bubbles downwards more reliably.

Fishing lure with rotatable fins

An artificial fishing lure has a stream-lined elongated body generally simulating a fish. The body has a cavity therein to receive a U-shaped member that is oriented to have two substantially parallel fins extending rearward outside of the body. The U-shaped member has a base and tab extending therefrom. The cavity is shaped to limit movement of the U-shaped member in an up and down rotational motion relative to the body. The body is formed from an upper body and a lower body. The U-shaped member is inserted into the cavity and the upper body and lower body are then affixed to one another. A method of constructing the lure is described.

Lip device for fishing lures

The disclosure relates to a lip device for use in a fishing lure for altering the lure configuration which provides different depths and pattern of travel of the lure, wherein the lip device is connectable to the lure via lip connectors. The lip device, in an embodiment, comprises: a lip activator for changing the lip angel of attack, the lip activator being connected to the lip via a lip connecting device and the lip activator being sensitive to the lure speed through water, the lip activator having a passive state and an active state wherein the passive state corresponds to a first lip configuration, and the active state corresponds to a second lip configuration.

A fishing lure includes a main body having an interior conical body portion having a flat surface at a first end, and an opening with a circumferential lip surrounding and extending from the opening at a second opposite end; and an exterior conical body portion surrounding the interior conical shape and extending from the flat surface to the circumferential lip. The exterior conical body portion is spaced apart from the interior conical body portion, defining a gap between an exterior of the interior conical body portion and an interior of the exterior conical body portion. The exterior body portion has a plurality of openings therein to the gap. A ring surrounds an exterior of the exterior conical body portion. The ring has a flat portion and a lip, and is positioned between the first end and the second end. The lip extends from an exterior circumference of the flat portion toward the first end.

A lure 1 includes a body 3, a support 5, and a weight 7. The body 3 includes a head 13a in its front portion and a tail 13b in its rear portion. The support 5 extends in the front-rear direction inside the body 3. The weight 7 is supported by the support 5 so as to be movable in the front-rear direction. At least part of the weight 7 is movable in a transverse direction that intersects with the front-rear direction.
