A strike indicator float or sinker is disclosed. The device preferably having a rigid insert having two opposing clamping sections. The sections are joined by a hinge, preferably a living hinge. The opposing sections have a tab that is configured to retain a free side of each opposing face in a clamped together position. Each opposing section has a internal face configured for positioning thereon a fishing line. The opposing surfaces form a generally flat section and recessed flat section that are configured for mating engagement. The flat sections are preferably configured with an overlayment of rubber or molded plastic to increase friction between a fishing line positioned in the opposing flat section. The flat sections provide for lateral adjustability of the fishing line relative to the center of the device. Two hemispheres are positioned on the opposite side of each opposing section from the clamping sections. The hemispheres can be made of a sinking or floating material, such as closed self-foam for flotation. Preferably the exterior hemispheres have weight reduction/aerodynamic features to increase the aerodynamics of the device as it is cast by a fisherperson.

A sonic stimulation and detection device includes an enclosure mounted on a fishing rod having to a fishing line attached to and extending along the rod. A microphone element is mounted in the enclosure and is acoustically coupled to the line through the enclosure and the rod line to couple sounds of fish contact with the line to the microphone. The microphone may be coupled to a headphone. A sound generator is mounted in the enclosure and is acoustically coupled to the line through the enclosure and the rod to couple fish simulating sounds generated thereby to the line to attract fish to a lure attached to the line. The enclosure is shaped to efficiently couple sounds coupled from the line to the microphone and sounds generated by the sound generator to the line.

An indicator assembly for use with a fishing rod and line for bottom fishing. The indicator assembly is comprised of an indicator body having a pair of opposed indicator couplers and a channel formed though the indicator body such that openings for the channel are perpendicular to the indicator couplers. The channel has a diameter greater than that of a second and third eyelet of the fishing rod such that the line positioned inside the eyelets and channel when pulled taught forms a straight line. A rod coupler is affixed to the fishing rod by way of a pair of holders and positioned ideally between the second and third eyelets of the fishing rod. The rod and indicator couplers are rare earth magnets of opposite poles, or ferrous magnets or combinations of magnets and magnetic materials. The invention relates to a multipurpose fishing tool that includes a clamping portion to clip the fishing tool onto a fishing rod; a line cutting portion; a line trimming portion; a hook sharpening portion; an eyelet cleaning portion; and one or more hook eyelet threading portions. The clamping portion; the line cutting portion, the line trimming portion, the hook sharpening portion, the eyelet cleaning portion, and the hook eyelet threading portion are each a different portion from the other.

A new utensil which solves the aforementioned problems due to developing an instrument with a number of advantages compared with the traditional method already described for lubrication of fishing lines and leaders. This tool fundamentally helps this operation to be made comfortably, fast, in such a way the user can hold the rod while proceeding to the greasing and the guiding, for the storage of the assembly into the reel, is done through this, so the risk of the lubricant not remaining finally on the fishing line and/or leader is diminished. It is basically made up by two parts, on the one side, an outer cover which enables its fixing to the rod through the upper hole, also houses the support material for the lubricant and contains a cavity that allows the storage of other instruments, as well as the tool for the impregnation of the support material with the lubricant.
