A method of manufacturing a conical filter body (1) for a conical smokable product filter, comprising the following steps: Providing a band-like or -shaped filed body material (3) Cutting out at least one blank (4) of predefined geometry from the band-like or -shaped filter body material (3), Connecting at least two sections (4.1, 4.2) of the at least one black (4) to form a conical filter body (1).

There is disclosed a mouth piece, filter element or cooling element 100 comprising: a longitudinally extending core of filtering material 102; one or more channels 104 extending longitudinally from an end of the core 102; wherein the or each channel 104 has a non-circular transverse cross section which varies in the longitudinal direction by rotating about a longitudinal axis I of the mouth piece, filter element or cooling element 100.

A method of manufacturing a filter that includes providing a tube having a cylindrical wall and a hollow interior. The method forms a first indentation within the tube in which a first portion of the of the cylindrical wall concaves into the hollow interior, and forms a second indentation within the tube in which a second portion of the cylindrical wall concaves into the hollow interior. The first and second indentations create 1) a first chamber and a second chamber in the tube that are separated by both indentations and 2) a path within the hollow interior formed between the first and second indentations that fluidly couples both chambers together.

A method of manufacturing a filter that includes providing a tube having a cylindrical wall and a hollow interior. The method forms a first indentation within the tube in which a first portion of the of the cylindrical wall concaves into the hollow interior, and forms a second indentation within the tube in which a second portion of the cylindrical wall concaves into the hollow interior. The first and second indentations create 1) a first chamber and a second chamber in the tube that are separated by both indentations and 2) a path within the hollow interior formed between the first and second indentations that fluidly couples both chambers together.

There is disclosed a mouth piece, filter element or cooling element for an aerosol generating article comprising: a first section comprising a longitudinally extending core of filtering material having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface defining a channel extending longitudinally from an end of the first section; a second section comprising a longitudinally extending core of filtering material; wherein the first section and the second section are adjacent and integral; wherein the channel has a non-circular transverse cross section which varies in the longitudinal direction by rotating about a longitudinal axis of the first section.

A filter apparatus includes a first housing having a wall defining a first cavity, a first end and a second end; a removable lid configured to be coupled to the first end of the first housing; a cap removably coupled to the removable lid such that a second cavity is defined between a portion of the cap and a portion of the removable lid; and a second housing having a wall defining a third cavity, a first end and a second end, where the second housing is disposed inside the first cavity, and where the first end is configured to be removably coupled to the removable lid independently from the first housing.
