The invention provides a knitted functional fabric for wicking moisture away from the body of a user. The fabric comprises a technical face formed from a yarn; a technical back formed from a yarn; and a spacer formed from a yarn that connects the technical face to the technical back. The technical face and the technical back comprise a hydrophilic yarn.

The cutouts of each glove allow for protrusion of digits of a respective hand so that cuticles of the digits are covered by the fingers. The gloves protect the cuticles from damage while performing tasks, such as braiding hair.

The second panel may overlap the first panel across the entire width of the cutout such that the second-panel leading edge is distal to the first-panel trailing edge. The third panel may overlap the second panel across the entire width of the cutout such that the third-panel leading edge is distal to the second-panel trailing edge. In some aspects, a mitten may be affixed to an interior surface of the tubular sleeve.
