PAD ASSEMBLIES FOR A PROTECTIVE SPORTS HELMET
A pad assembly is provided for use with a protective sports helmet in a contact sport, the helmet having an opening. The pad assembly includes a pad member within a pad housing, and a retainer having a projection that fits within the helmet opening. The pad assembly also includes a cap detachably coupled to the retainer, the cap including a base portion that fits within the helmet opening and a flange portion that fits within a countersunk recess disposed around the helmet opening, the cap detachably receiving the projection of the retainer. A protective sports helmet having a pad assembly is also provided.
HELMETS WITH LIGHTING AND LIGHTING SYSTEMS FOR HELMETS
Helmets and helmet lighting systems for use in demanding environments, such as fire, rescue, police and military applications. The helmets and systems provide one or more of high levels of light emission, long operational life, waterproofing/ability to operate in wet or submerged environments and relatively low weight. In some configurations, a helmet comprises a lighting system including an exterior layer and an interior layer applied to a shell of the helmet. In some configurations, a lighting module having an internal layer and an exterior layer is attached to an underlying helmet. In some configurations, a lighting system includes pods and/or strips containing a source of light. The pods or strips can be attached to an underlying helmet.
Compression Vest Systems Having Bladders
A vest includes a first panel including a first flap, a second panel including a second flap, a back panel extending from the first panel to the second panel, and a plurality of grips. The back panel defines a first and second arm accesses with first and second panels respectively, and portions of the first, second, and back panels disposed below first and second arm accesses define a body of the vest. The first flap is configured to overlap the second flap. The first flap includes a first front attachment segment configured to attach to a second front attachment segment of the second flap in a closed state of the vest. At least one embodiment or aspect may comprise at least one of the following features: at least one zipper expansion and retraction mechanism; and a leg attachment device for detachably securing a compression vest system to a user's leg.
HELMET WITH FLOATING SHELL PLATES
A football helmet comprises a plastic shell having a recess formed in the shell, a shock absorbing pad in the recess and removably connected to the shell, and a floating shell plate removably attached to the shock absorbing pad and further connected to the shell by a tab-slot engagement. The helmet may further comprise an inner liner comprising a shock absorbing element, an inflatable liner element, and a mobility layer disposed between the shock absorbing element and the inflatable liner element, the mobility layer having a plurality of raised elements formed therein to separate the shock absorbing element from the mobility layer thereby forming a gap between the shock absorbing element and the mobility layer, enabling relative movement of the inflatable liner with respect to shock absorbing element.
INFLATABLE BLADDER FOR HEADGEAR WITH CLIMATE CONTROL
An inflatable bladder and comfort control device is provided for mounting within headgear. The inflatable bladder and comfort control device have at least one inflatable bladder adapted to be positioned against a user's head. An air supply source is operatively connected to the inflatable bladder to inflate the bladder and provide air to the user. A directional valve is operatively mounted within the air supply source to separate the air supply source into flow paths to inflate the at least one inflatable bladder, and to create air flow adjacent the user. A directional valve controls the air flow to the bladder and the user's face. Comfort openings are in fluid communication with the air flow path to supply air to adjacent a user's head.
GARMENTS, ARTICLES OF CLOTHING, AND BODY EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS HAVING A BLADDER SYSTEM
The present invention is garments, articles of clothing, and body equipment systems having a bladder system for providing better fit of garments, articles of clothing, and body equipment systems to certain applicable body part(s) or area(s) of a user during use, and for providing greater support, comfort and/or stability to certain applicable body part(s) or area(s) of a user during use. As a non-limiting example, the present invention is compression garments having a clothing component and a bladder system, compression articles of clothing having a clothing component and a bladder system, and also to compression body equipment systems having a bladder system for providing better fit of compression garments, compression articles of clothing, and compression body equipment systems to certain applicable body part(s) or area(s) of a user during use, and for providing greater support, comfort and/or stability to certain applicable body part(s) or area(s) of a user during use.
Smart Helmet
Systems, methods, and devices for protecting a user head are provided. In one example, a computer-implemented method can comprise receiving, by a processor operatively coupled to a helmet device, helmet data comprising at least one of statistical data, statistical models, or natural intelligence algorithms. The computer-implemented method can also comprise inflating, by a gas delivery system of the helmet device, a pressure chamber element of the helmet device based on the helmet data. Furthermore, the computer-implemented method can comprise scanning, by a sensor system of the helmet device, surrounding environments of the helmet device for object data.
Protective system comprising an airbag system with an inflatable helmet communicating with an external device
A protective system is provided including an airbag system for protecting a body part of a user in case of an accident, including a control unit and a communication interface. The protective system further includes an external device having a communication interface. The communication interface of the airbag system is configured to communicate with the external device using wireless communication.
Detachable pad fastening structure of helmet and helmet including same
A detachable pad fastening structure of a helmet includes a first fastening unit, which includes a first fastening member having a fastening hole formed therein and is disposed at an inner surface of a helmet main body. A second fastening unit includes a through-hole in the form of a slot in a detachable pad and a second fastening member formed to be movable relative to the through-hole, having at least a part protruding toward the outside of the detachable pad so as to be inserted into the fastening hole when the second fastening member is located at one side of the through-hole, and configured to be inserted toward the inside of the detachable pad so as to be removed from the fastening hole when the second fastening member is moved relative to the through-hole toward the other side of the through-hole.
