Outdoor power equipment headset
A headset apparatus configured to be worn by a user operating outdoor power equipment. The headset may include a noise cancelling system and/or enhanced glasses.
DEFLECTING SOUND WAVES AWAY FROM AN EAR OF A WEARER OF A SPORTS PROTECTIVE HELMET
Systems, apparatus, and methods for reducing the decibel levels of sound originated external to a sports protective helmet may minimize deleterious effects to the hearing of the individual wearing the sports protective helmet. Through use of a sound-deflecting apparatus that is coupled to an interior surface or to an exterior surface of the sports protective helmet proximate an ear hole, decibel volumes may be constructively reduced by deflecting high frequency sound waves while allowing low frequency sound waves to reach the ear or in vicinity of the ear of the wearer of the helmet.
ADJUSTABLE HELMET-MOUNTED CIRCUMAURAL ADAPTOR
An adapter assembly for attaching a circumaural device to a mounting interface on a helmet comprises a fastener element configured to releasably couple to the mounting interface. A pressure relief assembly coupled to the fastener element has a pivoting subassembly and an adjustment subassembly. The pivoting subassembly I pivotable about a pivot axis and has a range of travel between an upright position and an extended position. One or more attachment arms have a proximal end coupled to the pressure relief assembly and a distal end for attaching the circumaural device. The adjustment subassembly has a manually operable control portion to cause pivoting movement of the pivoting subassembly toward the upright position to decrease a pressure of an attached circumaural device on a wearer's head or toward the extended position to increase a pressure of an attached circumaural device on the wearer's head.
Wind noise reduction apparatus
There is provided a wind noise reduction apparatus that has a simple structure to suppress vibration caused by an air current generated in the course of protection against the wind, while not reducing ambient sound. A wind noise reduction apparatus 1 includes a windshield portion 2 having a first surface 21 that is defined by four sides of a front end 23, a rear end 24, an upper end 25 and a lower end 26 and that is arranged to face an ear front surface and a second surface 22 that is arranged on an opposite side to the first surface; one or multiple support portions 3 stood upright from the first surface 21 of the windshield portion 2; and a catching portion 4 including an insertion hole or insertion opening 44 that is used to hold a chin strap B of a helmet and that is located between a front edge and a rear edge 33 of the support portion 3. The windshield portion 2 is supported by a three or more supporting point structure of the front end 23 of the windshield portion 2 and the support portion 3.
HEARING SAFETY DEVICE
Devices, methods, and computer program products are provided herein for hearing safety. An example hearing safety device configured to be worn by a user includes an earmuff body that defines an interior cavity configured to receive the user's ear therein when worn by the user and an exterior surface opposite the interior cavity. The hearing safety device includes an ear lid attached to a surface of the interior cavity. The ear lid projects into the interior cavity from the surface of the interior cavity and defines a sealing surface configured to substantially seal an ear canal of the user's ear when the hearing safety device is worn by the user. The hearing safety device also includes an adjustment mechanism operably attached to the ear lid and configured to move the ear lid relative the interior cavity of the earmuff body.
Ballistic helmet having an integrated electronic circuit configured to power and operate conductively connected electronic devices
Implementations of a ballistic helmet having an integrated electronic circuit are provided. An example ballistic helmet includes: a first armor plate attached by a hinge to a first side of the ballistic helmet, the first amor plate is configured and positioned to provide ballistic protection; a second armor plate attached by a hinge to a second side of the ballistic helmet, the second armor plate is configured and positioned to provide ballistic protection; and an integrated electronic circuit configured to operate and power electronic devices conductively coupled thereto.
Ear Plug Support
An ear plug support article is provided and includes an ear plug, an ear plug arm having a first ear plug arm end and a second ear plug arm end, wherein the ear plug is connected to the first ear plug arm end and wherein the second ear plug arm end includes a mounting article and an ear plug arm support, wherein the ear plug arm support is configured to attach to a brim of a hat, wherein the ear plug arm support defines an arm support cavity configured to movably and securely contain the mounting article such that the ear plug arm is movable.
Noise reduction elements
A motorsports helmet having an isolation mount defining a receptacle is provided. An adjustment plate is selectively disposed within the receptacle at different depths and includes an ear-cup. The ear-cup is secured relative to the adjustment plate and includes at least two degrees of freedom of movement.
Mounting system for accessories on a safety helmet
A hinge mechanism for attaching ear accessories to a helmet allows an accessory to be attached at a point outside the helmet shell utilizing, for example, a slidable mounting rail, and to reach under the edge of the helmet shell so that the accessory is supported in contact with the wearer's head. The hinge mechanism is well suited for use in connection with military helmets that have a “bulge” or protrusion over the ear.
Safety hat assembly
A safety hat assembly for enhancing safety and comfort of a user includes a hat that is selectively sizable to a head of a user and which has a brim coupled thereto. The hat is positionable on the head of the user with the brim extending over a forehead of the user. A pair of safety glasses is slidably engaged to the hat and is selectively positionable in a stowed configuration within the hat and a deployed configuration to protect eyes of the user. An earplug is engaged to and selectively extendible from the hat to allow insertion into a respective ear canal of the user to protect hearing of the user. A set of pads is engaged to and positioned within the hat to cushion the head of the user.
