In some embodiments, the visor may include a curvilinear base having at least one recess. The visor may additionally include a brim attached to, or formed with, the base. The visor may further include a fastener received in the at least one recess, where the fastener is configured to secure the visor to the field mask.

A lower-body may include a second outer shell coupled to a second energy-absorbing shell formed of EPP, EPS, EPU, or EPO, wherein an upper portion of the lower-body is nested within the upper-body and a lower portion of the lower-body extends to an outer surface of a lower portion of the upper-body. A strap anchor may be disposed between the upper-body and the lower-body, and be sandwiched between the upper-body and the lower-body with the strap anchor being adjacent to, and oriented towards, the lower-body. A strap may be coupled to the fastening device and coupled to the strap anchor for coupling the helmet to a head of a user.

A snap cover assembly for use with open face helmets that allows for easy mounting onto the helmet via the helmets visor or face shield snaps, e.g., a series of three male snaps protruding from the helmet's outer surface immediately above the facial or front opening. The assembly includes an inner element (or “mounting element”) configured with a mounting assembly or system for attaching the snap cover assembly to the exposed helmet snaps. The assembly further includes an outer element, which is coupled with an outer surface of the inner element in a manner, in some embodiments, that allows it to be removable to allow a user to swap it out to modify the look of their helmet. The outer element includes an outer surface (or customization surface) upon which one or more customizations (or customizing elements) may be provided by the user or others.

The present invention relates to a protective helmet (10) comprising an outer shell (12) and a visor (14) removably coupled to the outer shell (12) by means of a fastening mechanism (20) positioned on facing surfaces of the shell (12) and the visor (14). According to the invention the fastening mechanism (20) comprises complementarily shaped elements (22, 24) comprising at least one protrusion (22) and at least one receiving seat (24) provided with a flexible holding portion (26). The at least one protrusion (22) is adapted to be removably fixed inside the at least one receiving seat (24) by engaging the flexible holding portion (26).

A protective helmet for use with motorsports and cycling activities has a head receiving helmet body that includes a head receiving interior, and an exterior having a front surface, a rear surface, and a perimetral lip for defining a forward-facing aperture. A transparent shield member is engageable with the helmet body and is configured to be placeable adjacent to the forward-facing aperture of the helmet body. The shield member includes a perimetral edge that is sized and configured for engaging the perimetral lip of the helmet body. A strap is coupled to the shield and is configured to engage the rear surface of the helmet body. The engagement of the perimetral edge of the shield member with the perimetral lip of the helmet body enables an increasing force exerted against the shield to be exerted against the helmet, rather than directly against the user's face, and resists the intrusion of dust into the interior of the helmet.

A pivoting shield assembly for hats is revealed. The pivoting shield assembly includes mounting slots arranged at two sides of a hat, a pivot base mounted to each mounting slot, a first connecting rod and a second connecting rod each of which having one end pivotally connected to the pivot base and the other end pivotally mounted to a shield, and a pathway groove disposed on an inner side of the first connecting rod. The pivot base includes an elastic locking piece which is mounted and moveable in the pathway groove correspondingly. Thereby lifting up and pulling down of the shield are more precise and having different stages. The pivoting shield assembly for hats is practical.

A helmet attachment system is usable to attach a mandible or face or mouth guard. The helmet attachment system also comprises a pair of attachment bases, each arranged on a side of the helmet near to an ear covering of the helmet. The attachment bases each include a metal base plate covered by an attached body block. Each attachment base provides provisions for attaching opposite ends of a mandible to the bases. The metal base plate includes hooks for engaging an edge of the helmet. A pair of strap assemblies is provided, each strap assembly connected to one attachment base. The strap assemblies extend rearward and are connected to the back rail by a buckle member on the end of each strap assembly. The back rail includes a pair of buckle member-receiving slots. The straps assemblies and the hooks provided on the attachment bases secure the attachment bases to the helmet.

A visor system for a protective sport helmet wearable on a head of a user is provided. The visor system comprises a visor for protecting at least part of a face of the user. The visor is transparent and comprises left and right connectors. The visor system also comprises left and right visor supports for supporting the visor on left and right sides of the protective sport helmet. The left and right connectors of the visor are toollessly connectable to and toollessly disconnectable from the left and right visor supports to allow the user to toollessly connect the visor to the left and right visor supports and toollessly disconnect the visor from the left and right visor supports. The visor system may be configured to define an open gap from a top edge of the visor to the outer shell.
