Adjustable Sit-up Back Rest
The Sit-Up, adjustable back rest, helps users in sitting up in many locations: floor, bed, in a chair or in a car. Microtraction bed
Beds and methods for applying a micro traction force on the body of a user over time to treating or relieve back/spinal pain. Embodiments of a bed according to the present invention provide a section of the bed that is movable relative to other sections of the bed and apply a restorative force to the movable section such that when a user lays on the movable section, the movable bed section is displaced and a tractive force is applied to the user’s body due to a force apparatus applying a force thereto. The movable bed section can be suspended by a tensional support and/or supported by a compressional support in various configurations disclosed herein.
Furniture Article
Disclosed is a furniture article capable of many uses by a person or persons. In one embodiment, the furniture article comprises a base unit and first, second, third, and fourth cushions resting upon the base unit. The base unit comprises a first frame section for supporting the third cushion, a second frame section for supporting the fourth cushion, a third frame section for supporting the second cushion; a fixed frame section for supporting the first cushion. The first frame section being movable to a position where the first and second cushions are flat and the third and fourth cushions are inclined for use as a sofa. The second frame section and the third frame section being movable to a position where the first and third cushions are flat and the second cushion and fourth cushion are inclined for use as a two person lounge chair.

A sliding lounger comprises a seating portion having seating slats and seating spaces between the seating slats, a back support portion having back slats and back spaces between the back slats, the back slats being receivable within the seating spaces and the seating slats being receivable within the back spaces, and a foot support portion having foot slats and foot spaces between the foot slats, the foot slats being receivable within the seating spaces, and the seating slats being receivable within the foot spaces. The back portion and foot support portion move between an open position where the back and foot slats are not received within the seating spaces and a compact position where the back and foot slats are received within the seating spaces.

The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to stackable, foldable beds. The modular, stacking and folding have folding legs and couplers and can be stacked into a column for compact efficient storage or rapidly deployed in the event of need. The beds provide a temporary storage solution and can have a variety of additional components for use in hospital settings.
Sliding Lounger
A sliding lounger comprises a seating portion having seating slats and seating spaces between the seating slats, a back support portion having back slats and back spaces between the back slats, the back slats being receivable within the seating spaces and the seating slats being receivable within the back spaces, and a foot support portion having foot slats and foot spaces between the foot slats, the foot slats being receivable within the seating spaces, and the seating slats being receivable within the foot spaces. The back portion and foot support portion move between an open position where the back and foot slats are not received within the seating spaces and a compact position where the back and foot slats are received within the seating spaces.
Bed
A bed is disclosed. The bed has four posts, a plurality of longitudinal members, and at least one support member. Each post has a plurality of key openings arranged vertically along the post. Each of the longitudinal members has a plurality of keys. Each longitudinal member is releasably connected at opposite ends to a pair of the posts. The plurality of keys are removably engageable with the plurality of the key openings of corresponding posts. The at least one support member extends between the plurality of longitudinal members and providing a support surface. End plates can be connected at opposite ends to pairs of the posts.
Actuated graduated lateral rotation apparatus
A lateral rotation apparatus may include a person support surface having a head segment and a torso segment. An adjustable leg may have a head support positioned below the head segment. The adjustable leg may have a torso support positioned below the torso segment. The head support may be adjustable to rotate the head segment. The torso support may be adjustable to rotate the torso segment. A linkage assembly may be coupled to the head support and the torso support. The linkage assembly may have a sliding link that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The sliding link may also be rotatable between a first rotational position and a second rotational position. An actuator is operable to move the sliding link.
Convertible chair bed device
A convertible chair bed device. The convertible chair bed device includes a frame assembly, having a left bar support and a right bar support, configured to support a plurality of cross bars. The frame assembly is sized to accept a padded base between the left bar support and the right bar support, and the padded base includes a first section pivotally attached to a second section. During use, an individual seated on the padded base, such as a handicapped individual, is able to grip and move any of the plurality of cross bars to independently transition between a seated position and a supine position.
Support apparatus for supporting a person's head above a mattress or other surface
A support apparatus that is configured to support a person's head as he or she lies in a generally prone position with the apparatus in a horizontal support position and to support his or her back as he or she sits in an inclined position with the apparatus in an inclined support position. The apparatus has a transverse support member interconnecting a pair of vertical support members to provide an upper pillow-receiving surface and to define a gap under the transverse support member for receiving the user's arms when he or she is laying down. The apparatus also has base members on the vertical support members to distribute the weight, a rear support member to prevent a pillow from sliding off of the upper pillow-receiving surface and one or more rearwardly disposed stand-off members to space the apparatus from a wall or headboard.
