CHAIR

The invention relates to a chair (1) comprising a seat (4), a backrest support (2) and a backrest (3), the backrest support (2) being mounted on the seat (4) and the backrest (3) being mounted on the backrest support (2), and the chair (1) being designed such that, in a sitting position, a user can sit on the seat and rest his back against the backrest (3). The chair (1) also has a counter-rest part (5) which differs from the backrest (3), the backrest (3) being tiltably connected to the backrest support (2), such that it can be folded in the direction of the seat (4) from the sitting position into a support position, and the counter-rest part (5) being coupled to the backrest (3) in such a way that the backrest (3), when folding from the sitting position into the support position, aligns the counter-rest part (5) such that the user can support his buttocks on the counter-rest part (5).

Piece of seating furniture

A piece of seating furniture having a base member, on the upper side of which a padded seat surface is provided, and having at least one backrest member with an upholstered backrest surface, which can be positioned in various positions on the upper side of the base member. A slot structure is provided in the padded seat surface of the base member, which penetrates the padded seat surface, and furthermore a guide member is connected to the backrest member which projects through the upholstered seat surface in the area of the slot structure.

Adjustable lumbar support and ergonomic chair
11464342 · 2022-10-11 ·

A portable lumbar support and ergonomic chair having a lumbar support. The lumbar support has a seat hingedly coupled to a seat back having a teardrop-shaped lumbar support seat back cushion. A rigid back support portion may be rotated forward about hinges to collapse substantially parallel to the seat frame and backward to open to a variety of angles with respect to the seat frame. The seat back freely pivots around an upper lateral axis, and the rigid back support portion is linearly adjustable to space the seat back toward and away from the hinges to enable raising or lowering the upper lateral axis and thus the seat back with respect to the lower lateral axis. This provides multiple ways of changing which part of the teardrop-shaped lumbar support curve hits your lumbar curve for proper support. Variable lumbar lordotic support is thus provided.

Furniture member having lumbar adjustment mechanism

A furniture assembly may include a seat bottom, a seatback, and a lumbar adjustment assembly. The seatback is disposed adjacent the seat bottom and includes a seatback frame. The lumbar adjustment assembly may be mounted to the seatback frame and may include a rail, a threaded rod disposed within the rail, a first slider block slidably engaging the rail, a second slider block slidably engaging the rail, a lumbar pad, and links connecting the lumbar pad to the first and second slider blocks. The threaded rod may include a first threaded section having threads with a first handedness and a second threaded section having threads with a second handedness that is opposite the first handedness. The first slider block may threadably engage the first threaded section. The second slider block may threadably engage the second threaded section. One or more massaging units may be mounted to the lumbar pad.

Mobile body unweighted sit and stand chair assembly and method of operation

A mobile body unweighted sit and stand chair assembly prevents repetitive stress from sitting, standing, and lifting objects for long periods. The assembly provides a vertically, rotatably, and pivotally adjustable seat, a restrictive support padding that rotates from a support bracket to selectively support the spine or the pelvis, and a frame for structural integrity, mobility, and steering. The seat supports the buttocks and the ischium region of the pelvis, tilting forward up to 35 degrees to abut the pelvis against the support padding. This forward position maintains the spine in a straight posture and forces open posterior intervertebral disc space. The seat is supported by an adjustable rod that supports the weight of user while sitting, walking, kneeling, or lifting. A frame includes wheels that enable mobility and a brake. A first bracket enables feet to steer for hands-free maneuverability. A second bracket provides balance during kneeling and lifting.

Seat

A seat includes a pivotally movable bottom, a pivotally movable backrest independent from the bottom, a first supporter suspending and supporting a front side of the bottom, and a second supporter suspending a rear side of the bottom from a side behind the backrest section, and pivotally movably supporting the bottom together with the first supporter. According to the seat, the front side and the rear side of the bottom are suspended and supported. Thus, compared to a seat in which a front side of a bottom is supported in a cantilever manner, the seat is capable of ensuring bearing capacity for a seating load. The rear side of the bottom is suspended and supported from a side behind the backrest section. Accordingly, a support structure around the bottom including the front side of the bottom can be downsized.

This disclosure relates to a cushion and more particularly to a pillow providing cervical alignment by way of a cervical spine support structure that is positioned along a major axis of the pillow, and that can be rotated around the major axis. The pillow utilizes one or more of the following features: 1) a dimensionally correct platform for the proper sleep posture of a majority of body types on a wide array of mattress types; 2) A non-crush zone integrated cervical support roll which can be adjusted for extended durations of supportive comfort. (The roll—in and of itself—is unique compared to the standard of care because of its foam densities and its semi-hollowed out section); and 3) A sleep posture platform with a side sleeping position and a back-sleeping position. The pillow standardizes care by placement of the support roll inside a dimensionally correct platform using different materials.
