A deposit receptacle for secure acceptance of parcels and of hanging clothing is provided that prevents unauthorized removal of the deposited articles. The deposit receptacle includes a one-part or multi-part frame, a roof, a floor, a front pivoting upper input door, a front locking hinged lower retrieval door, a locking hinged side access door for both deposit and retrieval, a clothing hanger installed within the roof, a front panel, and a securing system incorporated into the floor that enables the deposit receptacle to be securely and easily fastened to the supporting structure upon which the receptacle is resting.

A round conveyor having at least two partitions and is configured and disposed to hold the article and to rotate and dispose the article proximate the sidewall opening for a recipient of the article.

A delivery system and a method of delivering articles are provided. The system has a secure box having a planar top wall and a cylindrical sidewall, and a reclosable opening in the top wall, at least one reclosable opening in the sidewall. The system is configured to open the top wall opening for receiving an article into the secure box and for closing and locking the top wall opening, upon the article being received in the secure box. A round conveyor having at least two partitions and is configured and disposed to hold the article and to rotate and dispose the article proximate the sidewall opening for a recipient of the article.

An intelligent item receptacle, system, and method for providing supplemental media content in response to depositing an item having media indicia disposed thereon. An intelligent item receptacle includes an item receptacle securely enclosing an interior volume, an item sensor configured to detect an inserted item, a camera within the interior volume configured to capture an image of the item, and an output configured to play audio or visual content to bystanders outside the item receptacle. Processing circuitry within the item receptacle analyzes the image to determine if the media indicia are present on the item and, if present, causes the output to play the audio or visual content associated with the media indicia.

Systems, devices, and techniques for producing audio for, or adding audio capability to, a collection box for delivery items that includes a user-operated door for putting items into the collection box. The system can include a processing subsystem, an audio transducer, a trigger device that is connected to, or that is part of, the door of the collection device, and a sensor. The sensor detects the trigger device when the trigger device is in close proximity (e.g., in contact), and the sensor is positioned such that it is in close proximity with the trigger device when the door is closed. In response to the trigger device moving out of close proximity, the sensor generates a signal to the processing system. In response, the processing system generates an audio signal that is converted to sound by the audio transducer, which can be heard outside of the collection box.

Systems, devices, and techniques for producing audio for, or adding audio capability to, a collection box for delivery items that includes a user-operated door for putting items into the collection box. A securable delivery storage container is configured to extend through a wall of a building and includes a frame assembly configured to be inserted into the wall. The frame assembly includes a first open end disposed at an exterior of the building, and an opposite second open end disposed at an interior of the building. A drawer assembly, which defines a storage area configured to receive deliverables, is slidingly coupled to the frame assembly and slidable between (i) a closed position where the drawer assembly is nested within the frame assembly to prevent access to the storage area from the building exterior, and enable access from the building interior and (ii) an open position where the drawer assembly is extended outwardly from the frame assembly to enable access to the storage area from the building exterior.

The inlet provides for insertion of the package in a first direction into the interior space. The inlet is further configured to prevent the package from being moved in an opposing second direction and removed from the interior space.
