The present invention refers to systems and process associated with beverage preparation based upon the extraction of a single portion (1) of a pre-measured quantity of precursor substance in a brewing apparatus (4), whereby said single portion (1) resents a compostable confinement (2) and can be collected inside of a portion holder (3) that is adapted so that can be retained inside a cavity of said brewing apparatus (4). In particular, the present invention relates addresses the problem of ensuring effective and reliable retention of the portion holder (3) on the brewing apparatus (4).

The beverage brewing device, which is configured for use with a beverage brewer having an inlet probe for dispensing water and an outlet probe, includes a body defining a brew chamber configured to contain a dry beverage medium and at least one outlet probe receptacle extending upwardly from a bottom surface of the body. The outlet probe receptacle is sized and configured to receive an outlet probe of a beverage brewer. A lid is removably securable to the body and is engageable with the body to selectively enclose a top opening of the body. An inlet probe opening is defined in the lid for receiving an inlet probe of the beverage brewer. At least one filter is defined within the body, wherein the filter is configured to retain a dry beverage medium within the brew chamber while allowing a brewed beverage to pass through the brew chamber.

A coffee capsule with side sealed includes a capsule shell for accommodating coffee powder and a sealing film laid on an opening of the capsule shell, and further includes a hoop, tightly hooping an outer side wall of the capsule shell after being compressed under an action force, such that an edge of the sealing film is compressed between the hoop and the outer side wall of the capsule shell, so as to realize connection between the sealing film and the capsule shell to make the coffee capsule. The top surface of the hoop is flush with the top edge of the capsule shell after being compressed. The top surface of the capsule shell is only covered with the sealing film, so that the top surface of the coffee capsule remains smooth and has no step. Therefore, the coffee capsule is easy to adapt to capsule coffee machines on the market.

A brew basket including a basket body having a side wall forming an interior and an opening at an upper edge of the basket body, and a lid having an elastomeric periphery sized and shaped to wipe a portion of the side wall proximate to the upper edge of the basket body when the lid moves between an open position and a closed position.

A single serve pod system, a single serve pod assembly system, a single serve pod, a reusable pod apparatus, a process of assembling the single serve pod, and methods of use are presented. More specifically, and without limitation, the present disclosure relates to preparation of a single serve pod in accordance with brewing coffee, tea, and/or other brewing.

The beverage brewing device, which is configured for use with a beverage brewer having an inlet probe for dispensing water and an outlet probe, includes a body defining a brew chamber configured to contain a dry beverage medium and at least one outlet probe receptacle extending upwardly from a bottom surface of the body. A scoop and level for scooping a portion of granulated material and leveling the contents of the scoop. The scoop may have a volume suitable for brewing a single serving of brewed beverage, and in particular, for brewing a single serving of espresso. The lever is attached to the scoop and slides over the scoop to displace excess material, thus providing a desired amount material for precessing, for example, for preparing a beverage. A scoop handle may further include a tamper opposite to the scoop. The tamper may be used to tamp brewing material after scooping, leveling, and pouring the brewing material into a holder.

A bottom fillable espresso cartridge base and apparatus and method for filling and plugging the bottom of the espresso cartridge base. The espresso cartridge base includes an open bottom and a press in bottom plug. The top of the espresso cartridge may be sealed by a foil lid or the like, or be open and an adhesive attachable lid may be included for attachment by a user. A first method utilizes a hand held multi-function tool including a cartridge holder with a holder lid to capture the espresso cartridge, and a bottom tamper and plug seating arm. A second method utilizes a stationary base residing on a flat surface, a cartridge holder to retain cartridges on the base, and individual tools to fill and tamp brewing material in the cartridge, and to attach the bottom plug to the cartridge.

A bottom fillable espresso cartridge base and apparatus and method for filling and plugging the bottom of the espresso cartridge base. The espresso cartridge base includes an open bottom and a press in bottom plug. A foldable holder includes a main body and a support base. The main body has a conical inner space. The support base in the form of a cone has an upper portion and a lower portion wider than the upper portion. A conical surface is formed between the upper portion and the lower portion. The upper portion is configured to support the main body. The main body and the support base are foldable.
