Disclosed herein are gas appliance with rotatable burners, where the gas burner thereof is movable between a plurality of positions such as use, dump, and down. Use position is that of the gas appliance being capable of being used for its intended purpose (e.g., gas burner in its operating position), and in the case of a brazier, the gas burner is facing up. Dump (i.e., a non-use) position refers to a gas burner position which dumps solid fuel by gravity. Down (i.e., a non-use) position refers to a gas burner position (e.g., for a top fired (e.g., radiant) gas burner) where the gas burner is facing upside down. A transducer monitors rotary shaft angular position to enable gas flow only when the gas burner is in the use position. For embodiment configured with partially aerated gas burner and a solid fuel crib, upon dumping of solid fuel, the solid fuel falls into an ash pan to enable its reuse or safe disposal.

A combination barbeque and smoker apparatus, fabricated of stainless steel, which includes an open vessel portion, having a plurality of walls and a floor portion; a cover moveable from an open position to a closed position covering the open end of the vessel to define an enclosed space; a metal grill positioned on the open end of the vessel upon which meat would rest to barbeque or smoke; a continuous pipe positioned in a space between an inner vessel wall and an outer vessel wall, in a pattern along the rear and side walls of the vessel, the pipe receiving pressurized natural gas from a gas source, such as a pressurized tank; a plurality of openings in the upper wall of the continuous pipe for releasing pressurized gas through the openings; and a device for igniting the gas exiting the openings for defining a source of heat along the length of the pipe into the cover space when the cover is in the closed position for receiving and directing heat downward onto meat resting on the metal grill.

A tailgate with an integrated grill includes a tailgate body pivotally secured to a rear end of a vehicle. A grill assembly disposed within an interior side of the tailgate body includes a grill grate positioned above a first heating element, a plurality of controls for operating the first heating element, and a pair of compartments positioned adjacent opposing sides of the grill grate. The compartments can be utilized for storing cooking utensils and for other purposes. A fuel supply is secured within a rear storage area of the vehicle. A fuel line coupled to the fuel supply extends through the interior side of the tailgate body and couples to the first heating element. The grill assembly may include additional heating elements such as a gas burners and electric heating elements. The plurality of controls may be utilized to select between different heating elements for different cooking options.

A grilling appliance with a grilling surface for placing food to be cooked, with a heat source located below the grilling surface for heating a food item on the grilling surface and with a second heat source located above the grilling surface. The second heat source is adjustable in such a way that it can be used to heat a food item located on the grilling surface from the side and/or from above, depending on the position of the second heat source, in that the second heat source is retained on a rear wall of the grilling appliance that extends beyond the top of the grilling surface so as to be translationally height-adjustable, and in that the second heat source can be pivoted about a pivot axis, in order to adjust the direction of the desired heat radiation downward between a position for releasing heat in a horizontal direction and a position for releasing heat in a vertical direction.

A grilling appliance with a grilling surface for placing food to be cooked, with a heat source located below the grilling surface for heating a food item on the grilling surface and with a second heat source located above the grilling surface. The second heat source is adjustable in such a way that it can be used to heat a food item located on the grilling surface from the side and/or from above, depending on the position of the second heat source, in that the second heat source is retained on a rear wall of the grilling appliance that extends beyond the top of the grilling surface so as to be translationally height-adjustable, and in that the second heat source can be pivoted about a pivot axis, in order to adjust the direction of the desired heat radiation downward between a position for releasing heat in a horizontal direction and a position for releasing heat in a vertical direction.

The body has a base, a back sheet, and two side walls. The base is disposed at a bottom of the body. The back sheet is mounted on a front surface of the base. The two side walls are mounted to two side surfaces of the base respectively. Each one of the two side walls has multiple supporting sets disposed on an inner surface thereon. The at least one lower grate is detachably mounted to two corresponding supporting sets of the two side walls. The upper grate is mounted to the two side walls of the body. The rotating skewer assembly is detachably mounted in the body. The heating assembly is rotatably mounted in the body. The drip pan is detachably disposed on the base of the body.

A multi-purpose barbecue grill has a body, at least one lower grate, an upper grate, a rotating skewer assembly, a heating assembly, and a drip pan. The body has a base, a back sheet, and two side walls. The base is disposed at a bottom of the body. The back sheet is mounted on a front surface of the base. The two side walls are mounted to two side surfaces of the base respectively. Each one of the two side walls has multiple supporting sets disposed on an inner surface thereon. The at least one lower grate is detachably mounted to two corresponding supporting sets of the two side walls. The upper grate is mounted to the two side walls of the body. The rotating skewer assembly is detachably mounted in the body. The heating assembly is rotatably mounted in the body. The drip pan is detachably disposed on the base of the body.

A dual cooking mode barbecue grill includes a grill body which defines an open top cooking chamber, a cooking shelf for supporting food to be cooked and located above the open top cooking chamber, and a rotatable cooking unit located inside the open top cooking chamber. The rotatable cooking unit has a first cooking mode and a second cooking mode. The first and second cooking modes are alternatively selected by rotating the rotatable cooking unit with respect to the grill body.

A tailgate having an integrated grill which includes multiple heating elements that are selected by an operator, as well as multiple storage compartments for storing cooking utensils and other items. The multiple storage compartments are disposed on each side of the integrated grill. The tailgate includes multiple types of heating elements that are secured within a rear storage area of the vehicle, such as gas burners and electric heating elements. The tailgate includes controls that are utilized to select between the different types of heating elements for different cooking options.

A dual cooking mode barbecue grill includes a grill body which defines an open top cooking chamber, a cooking shelf for supporting food to be cooked and located above the open top cooking chamber, and a rotatable cooking unit located inside the open top cooking chamber. The rotatable cooking unit has a first cooking mode and a second cooking mode. The first and second cooking modes are alternatively selected by rotating the rotatable cooking unit with respect to the grill body.
