A resistance mechanism for a sheet product dispenser for dispensing a length of sheet product from a roll of sheet product rotatably supported by the sheet product dispenser is provided. The resistance mechanism includes an arm configured to frictionally engage a surface of the roll of sheet product, and a spring attached to the arm and configured to bias the arm into engagement with the surface of the roll of sheet product, such that the resistance mechanism provides a pull force resistance opposing a pull force applied to a tail portion of the roll of sheet product.

A sheet product dispenser for dispensing sheet product from a supply of sheet product reduces accumulation of the sheet product in the chute. The dispenser comprises a housing including a chute having a sheet product dispensing opening, a sheet product feed roller assembly disposed in the housing and configured to feed sheet product from the supply of sheet product into the chute, and a pusher disposed in the housing and configured to engage the sheet product fed from the sheet product feed roller assembly at a location downstream from the sheet product feed roller assembly and push the sheet product fed from the sheet product feed roller assembly toward the dispensing opening to reduce accumulation of the sheet product in the chute. A related method of reducing accumulation of the sheet product in the chute also is provided.

A drop assembly for a paper product dispenser is provided that transitions an upper carriage for a second roll of paper product into a primary or first position after depletion of a first or primary roll of paper product without user intervention. The drop assembly transitions the upper carriage into approximately the same position previously occupied by the lower carriage, allowing a small aperture in a front face of a dispenser to be used. Additionally, the drop assembly can include a reset connection to transition the drop assembly back to the firsts position upon opening of a dispenser front face.

A separation unit is provided for separating a web material having a web width along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit includes at least a first shaft extending along a first longitudinal axis and at least a second shaft extending along a second longitudinal axis in parallel with the first shaft. The separation unit also includes at least one first protrusion element extending perpendicularly from the first shaft and being arranged to be rotatable about the first longitudinal axis, and at least one second protrusion element extending perpendicularly from the second shaft and being arranged to be rotatable about the second longitudinal axis. The separation unit further includes at least one contact element being arranged in biased abutment against at least one of the first and second protrusion elements in a direction perpendicular to the first or second longitudinal axis.

Provided is a toilet paper holder that enables a user to easily pull out toilet paper from an accommodated large roll. In this toilet paper holder, a weight member 12 is caused to move upward by tension that is exerted on toilet paper 2a when the toilet paper 2a is pulled out from a paper cutter 15, and when the tension is released as a result of the paper cutter 15 cutting the toilet paper 2a, the weight member 12 moves downward under its own weight, so that the toilet paper 2a is pulled out from the roll case 10.

In one embodiment, a towel dispenser for dispensing web material from a roll of web material may comprise a housing comprising a back panel and a front cover and having an internal volume so as to retain at least one roll of web material therein, an electronically powered dispensing mechanism contained within the housing for dispensing web material from the roll of web material upon actuation of said dispensing mechanism, a tear bar disposed within the housing, the tear bar comprising a tear bar back edge and a tear bar cutting edge, and a tear bar actuator coupled to the tear bar and configured to move the tear bar between a tear bar primary position and a tear bar secondary position.

The refill includes a web of tissue paper having a leading end and a trailing end for engagement with the trailing end and leading end respectively of a previous and subsequent refill. The web is provided with a mechanical connector at one or both of its ends to realize such engagement. The mechanical connector is water soluble for the purpose of tissue recovery. A dispenser having a feed roller that at least partially engages sheet material to facilitate dispensing thereof, and a cutting mechanism disposed within a chamber defined by a body of the feed roller. The cutting mechanism including a cutting blade and at least one movable support connected thereto. The at least one support further is operatively connected to the body of the feed roller and is actuated with rotation thereof to move the cutting blade into and out from one or more openings defined along the body of the feed roller to at least partially cut or perforate a selected portion of the sheet material as the sheet material is dispensed.

A web material dispenser tear bar, a dispenser assembly comprising a tear bar and a method of forming the same. The tear bar includes a cutting edge that is defined by a plurality of teeth that extend along a longitudinal edge of a body of the tear bar. The teeth include a first group of teeth that have a triangular shape defined by linear edges of the respective teeth and a second group of teeth where at least one side of each tooth of the second group of teeth have a curved edge that extends in a radial direction toward an adjacent one of the plurality of teeth. The tear bar is preferably disposed in the housing of a dispenser and oriented to engage a web material to selectively perforate and/or sever a portion of the web material from the roll.
