The invention relates to a handling module for loading a transport device of a conveyor dishwasher. The handling module comprises a turning wheel for turning a dishware item, a supply ramp and a feed ramp for transferring the dishware item from the turning wheel to a transport device of the conveyor dishwasher, wherein the feed ramp has at least one waste disposal opening, wherein the turning wheel is designed to receive the dishware item supplied via the supply ramp in an orientation with a use side facing upwards, wherein the turning wheel is also designed to turn the dishware item and to place same on the feed ramp with the use side facing downwards, wherein, when placing the dishware item on the use side, waste on the dishware item can be disposed of via the waste disposal opening due to gravity. The invention also relates to a cleaning system comprising the handling module, as well as a method for cleaning items to be cleaned.

By means of chicanes and/or a curvilinear course of the channel interior, the mutually abutting front ends of adjacent bulk parts are made accessible. Dishwashing and dish drying apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus comprises three parallel rods which each have a screw thread on an outer surface. In use, the screw thread on each rod engages with a rim or lip of a dish and when the rods are rotated the dish is caused to move through the apparatus.
