The invention relates to an adapter (1, 1′) for attaching a dental superstructure (50) to a dental implant (30). The adapter (1, 1′) comprises a coronal attachment portion (2, 2′) for attaching the adapter (1, 1′) to the dental superstructure (50), an apical attachment portion (4) for attaching the adapter (1, 1′) to the dental implant (30) and an intermediate portion (6) arranged between the coronal attachment portion (2, 2′) and the apical attachment portion (4). The apical attachment portion (4) is a protrusion defining an apical end portion of the adapter (1, 1′) and configured to be received in a corresponding recess (32) of the dental implant (30). The protrusion is rotationally symmetric, so that the adapter (1, 1′) is rotatable relative to the dental implant (30) in the state of attachment of the adapter (1, 1′) to the dental implant (30). Further, the invention relates to a dental assembly comprising the dental superstructure (50) and at least one such adapter (1, 1′).

DENTAL IMPLANT ABUTMENT WITH ENHANCED SHOCK DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION
20220338963 · 2022-10-27 ·

An implant abutment according to the present invention is a dental implant abutment with an enhanced shock distribution function, the dental implant abutment comprising: an upper coupling portion that is an upper portion coupled to an artificial tooth; a lower coupling portion that is a lower portion coupled to a fixture, and an exposed portion that is exposed to the outside between the upper coupling portion and the lower coupling portion and has a plurality of flow grooves. By forming a plurality of grooves in the exposed portion of the implant abutment, the exposed portion of the implant abutment performs a shock distribution function as if it shakes elastically and distributes an occlusal force of teeth exerted to the implant, thereby providing a buffering function of relieving an impact on an area where the implant is inserted.

Enossal Single Tooth Implant

A single tooth implant for a fixed dental prosthesis includes a substantially cylindrical main part which can be inserted into a bore in a jaw bone; an abutment which can be inserted into an annular recess in the main part, the abutment having a bore for receiving a retaining screw and a securing head for the dental prosthesis; and a retaining screw which can be inserted into the blind hole of the main part and traverses the abutment; and at least one annular gap between the abutment and the main part, in which gap a damping element is arranged.

Double-cushioned dental implant

An dental implant has a substantially cylindrical solid base member; an abutment; an implant-abutment junction (IAJ) portion at one end of the base member to retain the abutment to the base member, so that the abutment is able to move within a predetermined distance alone an axial direction of the base member, a first cushion adapted to be mounted between the abutment and the base member, and a second cushion, preferably an elastomer, which is sandwiched between the IAJ portion and the abutment, wherein the first and second cushion are able to provide a resistance force when the abutment is pressed to move relatively toward the base member and providing a bouncing back force when the abutment is released from the pressing.

Secure friction retained denture
11684459 · 2023-06-27 ·

A feature for retaining a denture on dental implants is shown and described. An anchor for receiving prongs is threaded to each of one or more implants in the mouth. A denture having prong passages is placed onto jaw bone or overlying tissue, above the implant. The anchor occupies an opening in the denture. With the denture in place and with the prong passages aligned with prong reception sites of the anchor, a pronged denture connector is installed such that the prongs pass through the prong passages of the denture and penetrate the prong reception sites of the anchor. The prongs are frictionally secured in place by an elastic member lining the prong passages of the denture and constricting over inserted prongs. The denture may comprise synthetic resin reinforced by a metallic reinforcing bar.

Dental implant system with ceramic implant

A dental implant system with a ceramic implant and with an abutment, which moreover includes an insert element for the ceramic implant. The insert element is either manufactured from non-ceramic material or is manufactured essentially of injection molded ceramic. The insert element matches with a recess a proximal region of the ceramic implant and is inserted or insertable into the recess. The insert element serves for the fastening of the abutment and for this is equipped with fastening structures. The insert element, which is arranged in the recess of the ceramic implant, is connectable or connected to the ceramic implant by way of a frictional connection and/or positive connection with respect to axial traction.

Dental connection assembly and method for producing a dental prosthesis

The present invention relates to a connection assembly for attaching a dental component to a dental implant, a dental component for the connection assembly and a method to use the connection assembly. The connection assembly (100; 1100; 2100; 3100) is removably attachable to the dental implant (10; 1010; 2010; 3010), preferably with the dental component (20; 1020; 2020; 3020) attached to the connection assembly, and a dental component is attachable to the connection assembly in a pre-fastened state or a fastened state. The pre-fastened state, when the connection assembly is attached to the dental implant, the connection assembly allows for adjustment of a relative position and/or orientation between the dental component and the dental implant. In the fastened state, the relative position and/or orientation between the dental component and the connection assembly is fixed, while the connection assembly is in particular detachable from the dental implant with the dental component attached to the connection assembly in the fastened state.
