Embolic implants delivery systems and methods of manufacture and delivery are disclosed. The devices can be used for aneurysm and/or fistula treatment. The designs offer low profile compressibility for delivery to neurovasculature, while maintaining advantageous delivery and implant detachment control features.

EXPANDABLE SHEATH FOR A TRANSCATHETER HEART VALVE
20230029387 · 2023-01-26 ·

The present disclosure relates to a sheath that is usable with a medical device, particularly to a sheath that is useable with a medical device and which sheath is expandable in the regions that the medical device is positioned in the sheath, and more particularly to a sheath that is useable with a medical device and which sheath is expandable in the regions that the medical device is positioned in the sheath and which sheath reforms to its same or similar size and shape after the medical device has passed through a portion of all of the sheath. The sheath is used to protect the body passageway of a patient as a medical device is inserted into and/or through the body passageway and to a treatment site.

Systems and methods for percutaneous removal of objects from an internal body space

Disclosed are systems, methods, and devices for percutaneous retrieval of objects, such as endovascular devices, from an internal body space. The present inventions have vascular, non-vascular (gastrointestinal), and surgical (laproscopic) applications. The inventions include a retrieval end having one or more compressed states and an expanded state, the retrieval end adopting the expanded state when the retrieval end is deployed into a subject's internal body space, the retrieval end having a mouth through which an object can be passed into an interior space within the retrieval end when the retrieval end is in the expanded state, the mouth being adjustable between an opened state and a closed state; wherein when at least a portion of the retrieval end of the inner sheath is transitioned to a compressed state following capture of the object, the retrieval end exerts an inward force that at least partially collapses or compresses the object.

KINK-RESISTANT EXPANDABLE SHEATH
20230054898 · 2023-02-23 ·

Expandable sheaths are disclosed herein. In some aspects, the sheath comprises at least one plurality of struts arranged to form an expandable cylindrical frame such that the formed frame is kink resistant. The disclosed frames are configured to expand from a first diameter d.sub.1 in an unexpanded position to a second diameter d.sub.2 an expanded position upon passage of a medical device, while maintaining the kink resistance. Also disclosed are methods of making the same.

The inventions include a a wire woven distal end that is formed from wires and includes a substantially cylindrical main body section comprising a leading end, a trailing end, and a middle portion extending between the leading end and the trailing end and defining a longitudinal axis of the main body section, and a flare defining a mouth of the wire woven distal end that projects circumferentially from the leading end of the main body section, wherein when at least a portion of the retrieval end is transitioned to a compressed state following capture of an object, the retrieval end exerts an inward force that at least partially collapses or compresses the object.

Expandable introducer sheath

One embodiment is directed to a system for deploying a device to a distal location across a vessel, comprising an elongate introducer sheath tubing member comprising open-cell fibrous wall material defining a lumen therethrough, wherein in a collapsed configuration the sheath has a first cross-sectional outer diameter and a first lumen inner diameter, and in an expanded configuration, the sheath has a second cross-sectional outer diameter and a second lumen inner diameter; and a substantially non-porous expandable layer coupled to a proximal portion of sheath and configured to prevent fluids present in the lumen from crossing the fibrous wall material.

EXPANDABLE SHEATH

Expandable sheaths are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a braided layer is positioned radially outward from a first polymeric layer. The braided layer includes a plurality of filaments braided together. A second polymeric layer is positioned radially outward of the braided layer, such that the braided layer is encapsulated between the first and second polymeric layers. In some embodiments, a braided layer is adhered to a sealing layer that is impermeable to blood flow. Methods of making and using the devices disclosed herein are also disclosed, as are crimping devices that may be used in methods of making the devices disclosed herein.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING STENT GRAFTS
20220183867 · 2022-06-16 · ·

A delivery catheter comprises an inner shaft and an outer sheath. A stent-graft is held on a region of the inner shaft. An enlarged diameter distal region of the outer sheath constrains the stent-graft. Its retraction allows the stent-graft to deploy. A finger wheel on a handle is used to retract the outer sheath and is coupled to a sliding block with cable(s). The sliding block is coupled to the outer sheath and is held within a sliding track. The wheel can be actuated to tension the cable(s) and deform latch(es) coupled to sliding block, freeing them from slot(s) in the sliding track and allowing retraction of the sliding block and the outer sheath. A reinforcement sleeve is coupled to a smaller diameter proximal region of the outer sheath. A gap between the outer sheath distal region and the reinforcement sleeve allows the distal outer shaft region to be retracted.

EXPANDABLE SHEATH

An expandable sheath is disclosed herein, which has a first polymeric layer and a braided layer positioned radially outward of the first polymeric layer. The braided layer includes a plurality of filaments braided together. The expandable sheaths further include a resilient elastic layer positioned radially outward of the braided layer. The elastic layer is configured to apply radial force to the braided layer and the first polymeric layer. The expandable sheath further includes a second polymeric layer positioned radially outward of the elastic layer and bonded to the first polymeric layer such that the braided layer and the elastic layer are encapsulated between the first and second polymeric layers. Methods of making and using the devices disclosed herein are also disclosed, as are crimping devices that may be used in methods of making the devices disclosed herein.
