Wound treatment system
A disposable dressing forms a compartment around and above a wound site and a volatile antimicrobial compound is allowed to sublimate/evaporate into the compartment. A heating element is included in the dressing, with heat stimulating wound healing and simultaneously accelerating sublimation/evaporation of the antimicrobial compound.
ELECTRICALLY-HEATABLE PLASTER
The invention relates to electrically-heatable plasters which comprise a self-adhesive skin contact layer, an electrically-conductive textile fabric in which electrically-conductive fibres are in contact with one another, as a heating element, and optionally at least one active substance, as well as to a method for production and the use of same for local heat therapy and/or transdermal application of active substances.
Electrically-heatable plaster
An electrically-heatable plaster that comprises a self-adhesive skin contact layer, an electrically-conductive textile fabric in which electrically-conductive fibres are in contact with one another, as a heating element, and optionally at least one active substance, as well as to a method for production and the use of same for local heat therapy and/or transdermal application of active substances.
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for the treatment of damaged tissue
A therapeutic apparatus for treating damaged tissue on a limb or body of a subject includes a wearable adapted to cover and be secured to the limb or body of a subject over damaged tissue. The wearable being configured to reduce pressure on the damaged tissue and adapted to deliver one or more treatments selected from the group consisting of heat, oxygen, electrical current, and light to the damaged tissue.
THERMAL TREATMENT UNDERGARMENT
A thermal treatment undergarment retains a thermal treatment pack in position over a locus of pain or injury. The thermal treatment undergarment includes a first elastic layer, such as a brief, that may be worn. A thermal pouch is defined on the undergarment, such as by a joining seam of a second elastic layer, which may also be formed as a brief. A joining seam around the leg openings and the lateral sides provides an abdominal pocket and a back pocket. Likewise, a joining seam about the leg openings and each of an anterior and posterior portion of the brief, defines a lateral side pocket, for treatment of the hip pain or injury.
AN IMPROVED COMPRESSION STOCKING
A compression stocking having shape memory, heat-shrinkable thermoplastic material, wherein said stocking is configured to establish, in use, a compression contact with at least one of a leg and a foot of a user upon the application of an amount of heat to the shape memory, heat-shrinkable thermoplastic material, wherein the thermoplastic material is a polymer that has a glass transition temperature below 10 C., has crystallinity with a melting temperature (Tm) between 30-50 C. and a heat of fusion of at least 10 J/g, as determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) (40 C./10.0 (K/min)/100 C.) as set out by the ASTM D3418:2003.
PERINEAL HEATING DEVICE
A perineal heating pad includes a central portion and two opposing end portions. The central portion includes a heating element disposed on or within the heating pad and the opposing ends may include one or more tabs extending outward from the central portion. A non-stick adhesive is used to secure the heating pad to the perineal body tissue of the patient and a controller supplies heat to the heating element and maintains the perineal tissue of a patient at a desired temperature.
WOUND COVERING FOR WOUND MONITORING AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT DELIVERY
A wound covering includes a flexible main body, and a sensor element incorporated into the main body. The sensor element includes a mesh formed from a plurality of fibers, and is configured to undergo a change in appearance in response to a change in a parameter associated with wound exudate. The wound covering further includes a supply of therapeutic agent configured to diffuse therapeutic agent from the wound covering into a wound when the wound covering is placed on a wound.
WOUND CARE METHOD AND SYSTEM WITH ONE OR BOTH OF VACUUM-LIGHT THERAPY AND THERMALLY AUGMENTED OXYGENATION
A combination therapy pad that includes a first layer and a second layer operatively coupled to the first layer. A fiber-optic array is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. A third layer is operatively coupled to the first layer. The third layer includes a vacuum tube in fluid communication with a vacuum source and a therapeutic fluid tube in fluid communication with a therapeutic fluid source. The third layer provides at least one of vacuum therapy and therapeutic fluid treatment to a wound area.
WOUND TREATMENT SYSTEM
