The drive mechanism is included in a trolley and is configured to suspend the trolley from a support track. The drive mechanism includes a first sensor configured to sense an operating condition of the drive mechanism. The patient support mechanism couples to the trolley and includes a tether and a second sensor. The tether can be operatively coupled to a patient such that the patient support mechanism supports the patient. The second sensor is configured to sense an operating condition of the patient support mechanism. The electronic system is included in the trolley and has at least a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to define a gait characteristic of the patient based at least in part on a signal received from the first sensor and a signal received from the second sensor.
A CONNECTION POINT ASSEMBLY FOR A PATIENT LIFTER SPREADER BAR WITH A VISUAL INDICATOR INDICATIVE OF A LATCH POSITION THEREOF
A connection point assembly for a patient lifter spreader bar has a hook member defining a throat having a mouth, the mouth being formed between a distal end of the hook member and an adjacent base portion and a latch assembly operably coupled to the hook member at the mouth and comprising a latch configurable between an open position wherein the latch does not obstruct the mouth and a closed position wherein the latch obstructs the mouth. The connection point assembly comprises a visual indicator indicative of the open position and the closed position.
Lifting devices positionable in high range positions and low range positions
Lifting devices for positioning a lift actuator in a high range position and a low range position are disclosed. The lifting devices may include a lift mast, a lift arm pivotally coupled to the lift mast, a lift actuator having a first end and a second end, and a linkage member having a first end and a second end. The first end of the lift actuator is pivotally coupled to the lift mast. The first end of the linkage member is pivotally coupled to the lift arm and the second end of the linkage member is pivotally coupled to the second end of the lift actuator such that the lift actuator includes a high range position relative to the lift arm and a low range position relative to the lift arm.
MOUNTING ASSEMBLIES FOR OVERHEAD RAIL SYSTEMS AND OVERHEAD RAIL SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT A LIFT UNIT
A mounting assembly for a cross-rail of an overhead rail system includes a mounting rail, an attachment bracket, and a spring-loaded pin. The mounting rail is configured to mount to a sidewall and includes a bracket receiving recess. The attachment bracket includes an attachment portion and an extension portion, wherein the attachment portion is shaped to correspond to the bracket receiving recess such that the attachment portion is positionable within the bracket receiving recess. The spring-loaded pin is coupled to the attachment bracket and includes a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the spring-loaded pin is biased to the extended position to lock the cross-rail to the extension portion of the attachment bracket.
Patient lift system
A patient lift system includes a motor and a drum. The drum is operably coupled to the motor. The drum can be selectively driven to rotate by the motor. A housing surrounds at least the motor and the drum. A load-bearing member is provided that includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the load-bearing member can be operably coupled to at least one of the housing and the drum. The second end of the load-bearing member can be operably coupled to a patient support assembly. An electrically conductive member can be positioned within the load-bearing member. A user interface is configured to actuate the patient support assembly in vertical and horizontal directions.
Mobility aid
A mobility aid assembly which may be used for lifting and lowering a user. The assembly includes an articulated lifting arm releasably mounted to a base structure with a first portion of the lifting arm operable between a lowered position and a raised position by a linear actuator. A first end of the linear actuator is pivotally connected to a second portion of the lifting arm with the second end releasably mounted to a second upright portion of the lifting arm. The lower end of the linear actuator disengages from its mounting on the second upright portion when the first portion of the lifting arm is lowered by the actuator to a position in which the first portion of the lifting impinges on the user.
Size adjustable sling
A sling for supporting a subject such as a patient includes a panel assembly including a left flank with a left end, a right flank with a right end, and an interflank panel. The interflank panel has a left extremity permanently joined to the left end of the left flank and a right extremity permanently joined to the right end of the right flank. The sling also includes a left closure element and a right closure element which are securable to each other and releasable from each other to adjust an effective dimension of the sling. In another embodiment, the sling includes a frangible closure member which secures the left flank to the right flank.
Configurable Patient Ceiling Lift
A ceiling lift assembly includes first and second motor units which can be operated together in a dual mode configuration and which can be operated in a single mode operation, in which only one of the motor units is operative with the other motor unit being dormant. The system provides routines for switching between the single and dual modes of the assembly and which ensure that in each mode the necessary parts of the apparatus are in an operative condition, whereas those parts of the apparatus which are not used are placed in a storage condition to avoid inconvenience or injury to personnel and patients.
