Described herein are systems and methods for performing peritoneal dialysis. According to one aspect, the disclosure provides a sterile interface connection for connecting a water purification system to a disposable source of dialysate concentrates. The sterile interface connection can include a chamber comprising an inlet adapted to be connected to the water purification system on a proximal end and a valve on a distal end. The sterile interface connection can also include spring-loaded needle disposed in the chamber. The spring-loaded needle can move between a retracted configuration in which the spring-loaded needle is fully retracted into the chamber and the valve is closed and sealed, and an extended configuration in which the spring-loaded needle extends through the valve into the disposable source of dialysate concentrates.

The blood treatment device according to the invention is characterized in that the hydraulic system II has a valve device 23 which provides several switching positions. The valve device 23 has an inlet 25A for the liquid for disinfecting the hydraulic system and a plurality of outlets 26A, 27A, 28A, wherein in a switching position the inlet 25A is connected to one of the outlets 26A, 27A, 28A and in another switching position the inlet is connected to a plurality of outlets 26A, 27A, 28A. The inlet 25A of the valve device 23 is in fluid communication with the flow path via which liquid for disinfecting the hydraulic system II can be supplied, and the outlets 26A, 27A, 28A of the valve device 23 are in fluid communication with another flow path of the hydraulic system, so that liquid can simultaneously be supplied to the individual flow paths.

The valve device has an inlet for a liquid for disinfecting the hydraulic system, and a plurality of outlets. In a first switching position, the inlet is connected to one of the outlets. In another switching position, the inlet is connected to a plurality of the outlets. The inlet of the valve device is in fluid communication with a first flow path and the outlets are in fluid communication with another flow path. Disinfecting liquid can simultaneously be supplied to the individual flow paths.
