Body contour adaptable autoinjector device

An injector for delivering a therapeutic product may include a base having a flexible surface that conforms to various body contours of a patient and defines one or more an injection chambers. The injector may have a height that is substantially less than its width, thereby defining a low profile, which provides a larger more stable base that can pinch or stretch the skin in a controlled manner. The larger base can also accommodate larger volumes via multiple injection chambers and/or large combined primary containers.

Medicament delivery device

The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a medicament receiving element, at least one fluid chamber having a fluid outlet configured to direct fluid vapour towards the medicament receiving element, a heating element for heating the fluid in the at least one fluid chamber. The device is configured such that, in use, the heating element heats the fluid in the at least one fluid chamber to at least partially evaporate the fluid so that the vapor pressure in the at least one fluid chamber increases until the fluid is expelled out of the at least one fluid chamber through the fluid outlet towards the medicament receiving element and entrains the medicament towards the patient's skin.

Ambulatory infusion device

Disclosed is an ambulatory infusion device, including a control unit and an electroacoustic transducer. The control unit is configured to operate the electroacoustic transducer as noise emitter or to operate the electroacoustic transducer as noise receiver and to determine from a received noise that is received by the electroacoustic transducer a state of the ambulatory infusion device.

Self-contained auto-injector

A drug self-delivery device comprising a body portion containing a drug vial and a needle assembly, where the body portion is slidably engaged to a trigger portion. When engaged by a user pressing the trigger portion against the user's flesh, the needle assembly relative to the drug vial so as to align a needle port with an integral drug delivery port connected to the drug vial thereby allowing fluid flow of medication through the needle. Seals engaged by a penetration spring prevent loss of medication and prevent the need for direct connection between the needle assembly and the drug vial.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE

A drug delivery device includes a blunt cannula and a reservoir. The blunt cannula has a cylindrical wall that defines an axial passage between a first end and a second end of the blunt cannula. The wall has at least a first tapered region at the first end to define an opening in fluid communication with the axial passage and adapted at the first end to resist interruption of fluid flow through the axial passage and out of the first end of the blunt cannula. The reservoir is connected to the second end of the blunt cannula.

WEARABLE DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE

A wearable drug delivery device has a needle assembly and a drug vial arranged side-by-side. This arrangement makes the device compact so that it can be easily worn around a user's wrist, for example. When the user triggers the device to inject a dose of medication like epinephrine, in an orchestrated sequence, a first spring drives the needle assembly downward and inserts a needle into the user while connecting the needle assembly to the drug vial. A second spring then delivers the dose from the drug vial through the needle and into the user. Advantageously, the small form factor encourages the user to wear the device and have lifesaving medication at the ready.

DEVICE FOR NEEDLE-FREE INJECTION OF A FLUID INTO AN ANIMAL

A device for the needle-free injection of a fluid into an animal can include a contact device including a shaped contact surface that is shaped in conformity with a body part of the animal to which the injection is to be administered. Also included is a first injector including a front dispensing end which, during the needle-free injection, extends through a first passage opening in the shaped contact surface and protrudes in relation to the shaped contact surface in a region adjacent to the first passage opening, a first measuring device which outputs at least one first measuring signal in order to detect contact of the animal with the front dispensing end of the first injector, and a control unit which activates a needle-free injection via the first injector on the basis of the at least one first measuring signal.
