Passive safety needle shield
A passive safety needle shield (300) is provided. The needle shield comprises a base (302) fixed to a proximal end of a needle, and an enclosure housing (304) initially disposed at a distal end of the needle, and enclosing the end of the needle. A hinged arm (306) connects the base (302) and the enclosure housing (304). The enclosure housing (304) is slidable along the needle length, and the hinged arm (306) flexes to permit the enclosure housing (304) to move along the needle as the needle is inserted into a user, thereby hiding the needle end, and providing support to the needle to avoid bends or buckles in the needle. The hinged arm (306) is biases in the initial position so that the enclosure housing (304) returns to the end of the needle as the needle is withdrawn.
NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
A needle assembly includes a needle hole having an inside diameter that is greater than an outside diameter of a needle, and by a moving-side guide integrally provided to a needle tip cover being engaged with a fixed-side guide fixedly provided to the needle, a guide mechanism is provided to guide the needle tip cover from a proximal end side towards a distal end side of the needle while maintaining a state of noncontact with the needle, and to guide the needle tip cover to a position where the needle tip cover covers the needle tip while deviating the needle tip cover in a direction in which the needle hole goes away from a center axis of the needle at a position beyond the needle tip, and avoiding contact of the needle tip with the needle hole.
LOW PROFILE PASSIVE PROTECTOR FOR AN I.V. CATHETER
A low-profile universal passive protector for an IV catheter includes a connector having a tubular body and a pair of arms pivotally connected thereto. The tubular body defines an end face and the connector includes a cavity extending from the end face. An elongate sheath is snap engageable to the tubular body. A spring is insertable within the connector cavity to extend between at least one of the pair of arms and the elongate sheath when received within the cavity. A slider is moveably coupled to the sheath. The slider includes a flashback chamber formed therein. A hypodermic needle is connected to the slider and is in fluid communication with the flashback chamber. The slider is moveable along the sheath between a first position and a second position, with the hypodermic needle being drawn into the sheath as the slider moves from the first position toward the second position.

A hypodermic needle is connected to the slider and is in fluid communication with the flashback chamber. The slider is moveable along the sheath between a first position and a second position, with the hypodermic needle being drawn into the sheath as the slider moves from the first position toward the second position.
PASSIVE SAFETY NEEDLE SHIELD
A passive safety needle shield is provided. The needle shield comprises a base fixed to a proximal end of a needle, and an enclosure housing initially disposed at a distal end of the needle and enclosing the end of the needle. A hinged arm connects the base and the enclosure housing. The enclosure housing is slidable along the needle length, and the hinged arm flexes to permit the enclosure housing to move along the needle as the needle is inserted into a user, thereby hiding the needle end, and providing support to the needle to avoid bends or buckles in the needle. The hinged arm is biases in the initial position so that the enclosure housing returns to the end of the needle as the needle is withdrawn.
Needle assembly with needle safety shield
A safety needle assembly includes a housing and a cannula hub connected within a side wall of the housing, a needle connected to the cannula and extending from the cannula hub outward from a proximal end of the housing, and a spring connected with the housing. The assembly includes a barrel connected with the spring and at least partially contained within the housing to least partially cover the cannula hub. The barrel is configured for moving, sliding, traveling, activating, relocating, or transitioning from a first mode in which the barrel is securely retracted and locked at least partially within the housing and the needle extends through an aperture of the barrel and the proximal end of the housing, to a second mode in which the barrel extends from the proximal end and beyond the needle.
SAFETY SYRINGE
A safety syringe includes an outer barrel having a receiving groove located on an inner surface of a rear end thereof between a first annular flange and a second annular flange, an inner barrel having a needle mount located on a front end thereof and a positioning portion adjacent to the needle mount, and a plunger axially movably inserted into the inside of the inner barrel.
MEDICAL NEEDLE
A medical needle includes a needle portion (10) having a needle tip on a distal end, a case (30) configured to be capable of accommodating the needle portion that can be exposed from the distal end side, a movement mechanism (50) for moving the needle portion inside the case, and a movement restricting portion (37) that restricts the needle tip accommodated in the case from moving in a direction opposite to a moving direction of the needle portion. The movement restricting portion maintains the needle tip accommodated in the case such that the needle tip can come into contact with an inner face of the case to restrict the movement of the needle tip in the opposite direction.
Safety needle with deformable cannula for injector pen
A safety needle having a rigid outer structure within which there is a cannula holding element of being movably coupled to an injector pen for a drug is provided. The cannula holding element supports a cannula having a first extremity and a second extremity for administration of the drug. A moving protective element associated with the rigid structure, covers the second extremity of the cannula after administration, with provision being made for a deforming member capable of deforming the cannula after administration of the drug so that the second extremity of the cannula remains within the protective element. The deforming member is associated with the protective element and is capable of rotating autonomously with respect thereto after administration of the drug to deform the cannula.
