INFUSION DEVICE WITH RELEASABLE FLUID CONNECTOR
An infusion set system includes a base and a fluid connector removably coupleable thereto. The fluid connector includes a fluid path portion and at least one connector latch displaceably connected to the fluid path portion and displaceable to a latching position in which at least a portion of the connector latch extends into the fluid path portion, which includes a cannula extending from a top interior surface thereof, and a plurality of internal sidewalls corresponding to at least two of a plurality of flat side surfaces of at least one of a base section and a base latch, thereby facilitating connection between the base and the fluid connector in a plurality of discrete rotational connecting positions. When the fluid connector is locked to the base, the at least one connector latch engages a base latching portion of the base and restricts proximal displacement of the fluid connector.
Cover body and medicinal fluid injection device having same
The disclosed technology relates to medicinal fluid injection devices. In one aspect, a medicinal fluid injection device includes a housing having an opening in a side surface thereof, a storage container arranged inside the housing and configured to store a medicinal fluid, an injection needle connected to the storage container and configured to inject the medicinal fluid when stored in the storage container through the opening, and a cover body covering the opening, wherein the cover body includes a cover part configured such that the a shape of the cover part changes according to air pressure caused by the injection needle.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR ADMINISTERING MEDICATION
Systems, methods and devices for administering medication are disclosed. One or more embodiments of a medication delivery device may include a syringe, a needle, a guiding element, and a volume limiter for limiting the amount of medication that can be drawn from a vial. At least one method for administering medication using a medication delivery device, may include: inserting a vial into a guiding element, drawing back on a plunger, removing the guiding element and the vial from a needle to expose the needle, inserting the needle into a patient, depressing the plunger to inject the medication into the patient, and withdrawing the medication delivery device from the patient.
SAFETY CAP
A protective cap is presented that is releasably connected to a medicament delivery having a generally tubular body and a medicament delivery member with a shield to be removed when the protective cap is removed, attachment elements for holding a generally tubular medicament delivery member shield remover within the protective cap and a lid attached to the cap body for holding the medicament delivery member shield remover in position
Cap for medical injector
A medical injector including a cap remover or second cap is disclosed. The medical injector includes an injector housing defining a reservoir, a plunger rod, and a stopper engaged with a portion of the plunger rod and slidably disposed within the reservoir. The stopper being sized relative to an interior of the injector housing to provide sealing engagement with a sidewall of the injector housing. The medical injector further includes a needle having a sharpened first end and a second end in communication with the reservoir, a first cap covering the sharpened first end of the needle, and a second cap covering at least a part of the first cap. The second cap is engaged with the first cap such that removal of the second cap simultaneously removes the first cap from the first end of the needle.
Palm activated drug delivery device
A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device is presented having a tubular housing comprising a distal end and a proximal end; a medicament container arranged with a medicament delivery member and placed in the housing, a cap removably arranged on the proximal end of the housing and configured to cover the delivery member; a drive mechanism configured to act on the medicament container to expel the medicament through the medicament delivery member upon the drive mechanism is triggered; an activation member arranged coaxially movable in relation to the housing, associated with the drive mechanism and comprising a proximal tubular portion which extends from the proximal end of the housing and wherein for triggering the drive mechanism the activation member is axially moved towards the distal end of the housing after removing the cap from the housing. The proximal tubular portion of the activation member has a resilient element arranged with friction.
Needle capture safety interlock for catheter
A catheter assembly includes a flexible catheter (22), a needle (12) having a sharp distal tip, the needle (12) disposed in the flexible catheter (22) and moving from a first position that exposes the needle (12) to a second position, an outer member (26) that is configured to engage and disengage a catheter hub (14), an inner member (28) disposed in the outer member (26), and a needle protection (30) member disposed in the inner member (28), the needle protection member (30) enclosing at least a portion of the needle (12) when the needle (12) is in the second position.
Rigid needle protector, method and machine for assembling such a rigid needle protector
An assembly machine for assembling a rigid needle guard (10) having an inner part (11) made of elastomeric material, and a rigid outer body (12) that is fastened to the inner part (11) made of elastomeric material via a folded-in portion (121) of the bottom axial end of the rigid outer body (12). The folded-in portion (121) extends radially inwards from the outer peripheral surface (125) of the rigid outer body (12), the outer surface of the folded-in portion (121) forming, at its axially-bottom and radially-outer edge, a sharp and acute angle relative to the outer peripheral surface (125) of the rigid outer body (12).
