Thermotherapy device
A thermotherapy device for treatment of neonates has a bordered lying surface (5) for receiving a neonate, a vertical support column (8) arranged adjacent to the head end of the lying surface (5) and radiant heaters (3, 4), supported by the column, directed at the lying surface (5). A control unit controls the heating output of each of the radiant heaters (3, 4). At least one first radiant heater (4) is directed at a head end half of the lying surface (5). At least one second radiant heater (3) is directed at the other half of the lying surface. The control unit (9) adjusts the heating output of the first radiant heater and the second radiant heater in such that, with the lying surface (5) arranged horizontally, the heating output of the second radiant heater (3) is greater by a predefined factor than that of the first radiant heater (4).
IRRADIATION MODULE AND DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IRRADIATION WITH MEDICAL AND COSMETIC RADIATION
The invention relates to an irradiation module for use in a device (1) for irradiation with medical and cosmetic radiation, comprising a plurality of LEDs arranged on a carrier. The invention also relates to a device for irradiating a user (10) with medical and cosmetic radiation, comprising a plurality of irradiation modules (40) for irradiation with medical and cosmetic radiation, which modules are accommodated in a housing part (20; 30). The invention further relates to a method for irradiating a user (10) with medical and cosmetic radiation, comprising a plurality of irradiation modules (40) for irradiation with medical and cosmetic radiation, which modules are selected from the group comprising fluorescent tubes, LEDs, organic LEDs, and high-pressure lamps. In order to provide an irradiation module and a device and a method with which improved irradiation results can be achieved according to the invention, a first group of first LEDs, which emits radiation within the UVA spectrum, and a second group of second LEDs, which emits radiation within the UVB spectrum, are arranged on the carrier.
DEVICE FOR PHOTO-THERAPY AND USE THEREOF
A method for treating a medical condition in a patient in need thereof is provided. The method includes applying light to the patient thereby stimulating the immune system of the patient, wherein the applying includes irradiating substantially the entire body of the patient with high intensity blue light having a wavelength, intensity, and duration configured to provide immune system stimulation sufficient to treat the medical condition, the stimulation including increasing the population of T-cells in the patient's bloodstream to treat the medical condition. Also included is a method for activating T cells in a subject in need thereof.
Device for photo-therapy of Grover's disease and use thereof
The present invention provides a photo-therapy device and its use for treatment of skin conditions such as rashes or similar dermatological conditions that are exhibited by Grover's disease or other diseases which are associated or co-existent with Grover's disease. The treatment includes exposure of the subject's affected skin and preferably the entire body with blue LED light to improve skin status by stimulating body's immune system to reduce itching, blotchiness and skin discomfort.
IRRADIATING DEVICE AND IRRADIATION METHOD
The present invention relates to a device for an application of directed actinic radiation to a subject, said device comprising: an exposition tunnel being capable of surrounding said subject to be exposed to said actinic radiation and being formed of one semi-cylinder barrel-shape first surface made of a material substantially permeable to said actinic radiation, and of at least one second surface made of said material substantially permeable to said actinic radiation and capable of complementing the first surface in forming said exposition tunnel; the surfaces of said exposition tunnel separating an inner space where said subject is exposed to said actinic radiation, from outer spaces where a plurality of radiation sources capable of emitting actinic radiation through said surfaces are mounted; said first and second parts of the chassis of the device being configured to complement each other in forming the outer shape of the device; said device further comprising at least one further outer space separated from said inner space and located at either one or both of the longitudinal ends of the exposition tunnel, said at least one further outer space housing a plurality of additional radiation sources configured to emit radiation, wherein at least one of the radiation sources and the additional radiation sources comprise at least one reflector or a plurality of reflectors. An improved device distinguishes in that at least one of the radiation sources and the additional radiation sources comprise LEDs or a plurality of LEDs, and that the at least one reflector or the plurality of reflectors collimate the radiation emitted by said at least one of the radiation sources and the additional radiation sources.
Personal portable therapy chamber
A portable, personal therapy chamber for provision of infrared radiation therapy. The therapy chamber includes a pair of telescopically positionable cabins that are lightweight and easily portable by a single user. The therapy chamber is configured for use by a single person lying generally prone on a surface. The cabins are disposed to overlie the user and include a plurality of infrared radiation elements that direct infrared energy toward the user's body. When using the therapy chamber, the user's head extends from an open end of the cabin. A facial treatment fixture is integrated with the cabin to be extendable longitudinally from a terminal end thereof and to overlie the user's face/head. The therapy chamber can be configured to provide mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy in addition to infrared therapy.
Radiation apparatus for the radiation of human skin
A radiation device is for the radiation of human skin, preferably the face of a user, in particular at least with radiation in the red light range, with a source of radiation and a filtering device for filtering the radiation emitted by the source of radiation. The filtering device is configured in such a way that the radiation device emits radiation in a wavelength range from 280 to 400 nm and beyond that radiation in a wavelength range of 600 to 700 nm, and that the radiation device emits at least zonally radiation in a wavelength range of a visible color shade of the visible light spectrum and filters further radiation of the visible light spectrum.
Personal sauna unit with integrated chromotherapy lighting
A personal sauna unit with an integrated chromotherapy unit. The sauna unit is configured for use by a single person lying generally prone on a surface. The sauna unit includes a cabin that is disposed to overlie the user and that includes a plurality of infrared heating elements that direct infrared energy toward the user's body. When using the sauna unit, the user's head extends from an open end of the cabin. A chromotherapy light unit is integrated with the cabin to extend along the perimeter of the open end of the cabin and to direct a selected spectrum of visible light toward the user's face for therapy. A pad with additional heating elements may be provided beneath the cabin to provide additional heating and comfort to the user. A control unit is provided to control the heating elements and the light element during a sauna session.
