An exercise device includes a base defining an inner volume and a top supported by the base, the top defining an aperture. The exercise device further includes a force sensor configured to measure force on the top and a motor disposed within the base and below the top, the motor including a cable extendable through the aperture. The exercise deice further includes a controller communicatively coupled to each of the force sensor and the motor. The controller is adapted to actuate the motor in response to forces applied to the top as measured by the force sensor. The controller may also actuate the motor in response to one or more additional parameters related to the speed or force with which the cable is manipulated (e.g., pulled by a user).

A transformable exercise apparatus is disclosed. The exercise apparatus includes base arms parallel to each other, front legs and rear legs extending from the base arms. The exercise apparatus includes top arms, each connecting respective front and rear leg of each base arm. The exercise apparatus presents telescopic members stored in the front legs. The exercise apparatus includes a first table top and a second table top. The second table top includes collapsible legs. The collapsible legs fold and allow for placing the second table top and the first table top over the top arms, thereby transforming the exercise apparatus into a furniture. The second table top demounts and transforms into a workbench. The telescopic members extend and include a pull-up bar at the top, transforming the exercise apparatus into a pull up exercise apparatus. The apparatus may transfer into a leg press and arm press.

A smart box system may include a smart box device. The smart box device may include a top portion, elongated side portions, and side portions. The top portion may include a top set of locking elements configured to mate with an external device to prevent the external device from moving relative the top portion of the smart box device. The elongated side portions may attach to the top portion. The side portions may selectively attach to distal ends of the elongated side portions.

Balance training aids are disclosed. A calf exerciser includes a free standing platform with independent foot braces that pivot and rotate for providing an optimally positioned foot and ankle position for a calf exercise. A pair of rotating platforms mount to a base, and each rotating platform has a pivot brace that angles left and right. Positioning and locking the foot braces at various positions of rotation and right/left angles provide a selectable, varied position as the calf exercises generally involve an ankle driven force against the foot braces, often bearing on the ball or arch of the foot.
