System and methods for adjusting variable geometry, height, weight distribution dynamics in orthotic devices and equipment
An active suspension orthotic support system is disclosed. The suspension orthotic support system comprises at least one variable resistance beam extending from a heel section to a mid-arch section of the footwear, wherein rotation of the variable resistance beam from a first position to a second position causes a resistance provided by the variable resistance beam to vary between a minimum resistance to a maximum resistance.

Methods of adjusting stiffness and flexibility in devices, apparatus and equipment
A resilient rod that provides adjustable directional resistance is disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, a resistance level may be determined based on a thickness of the rod and a position of an applied force with respect to a fulcrum point. In another aspect of the invention, at least one spine may be attached to the beam to increase a diameter of the beam along one axis. The resistance level may be determined based on the thickness of the rod, the position of the applied force and an orientation of the at least one spine with regard to the direction of the applied force. In other aspects of the invention, the resilient rods may be incorporated into a golf club that provides for adjustable resistance levels.
Element for gripping an item of sports equipment
Disclosed is an element for gripping an item of sports equipment, including a core made of composite material having a fibrous framework included in a polymer matrix. The gripping element has an external layer enveloping the core and having an interwoven textile material, separate from the framework, that is partially embedded in the matrix and emerges from the matrix onto an outer surface of the gripping element. Also disclosed is a handrail of a gymnastics apparatus and to an item of sports equipment having such a gripping element, as well as a method for manufacturing such a gripping element.

Forms for constructing foundations for anchoring pole vault standards
A form for constructing a foundation for anchoring a pole vault standard to a support structure adjacent to a landing pad includes a first frame and a first plurality of connectors defining a first connecting pattern for coupling to a corresponding connecting pattern of a base of the first pole vault standard. The form is installable in the support structure and operable for use in fixedly connecting the first base of the pole vault standard to the form. A pair of forms may be employed for constructing a pair of foundations for anchoring a pair of pole vault standards to a support structure adjacent to a landing pad.
Vaulting pole
A vaulting pole has seven layers. The first layer is a helical E-glass tape, the second layer is a crosswise helical E-glass tape, the third layer is an UHP-glass body wrap, the fourth layer is an S-glass body wrap, the fifth layer is a carbon fiber body wrap, the sixth layer is an S-glass body wrap, and the seventh layer is an S-glass trapezoidal sail piece.

ADHESIVE SYSTEM FOR INCREASING THE ADHESION BETWEEN A DEVICE AND THE SKIN OF A USER
An adhesive system for increasing the adhesion between a device and the skin of a user. The adhesive system has a first coating component for applying to the device and a second coating component for applying to the skin. The first coating component and the second coating component each have a relatively low surface tackiness. However, upon contact of the first coating component with the second coating component, a relatively high degree of adhesion is obtainable. A method for producing an adhesion effect, a kit, and a use of an adhesive system is also disclosed.
