A punching bag and suspension system is a boxing training device that is orientated horizontally, which permits the punching bag to move vertically, horizontally, diagonally, as well as a 360 degree range of motion. The present invention is directed to an apparatus for throwing and catching a football by a user of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a football having a connector, such as a loop, attached to one end of the football, specifically the point of the football; an elastic cord having connectors at opposite ends, with one connector configured to attach to the connector on the football and the opposite connector configured to attach to a stationary object or anchor to anchor the apparatus during use, and wherein each connector attached to the elastic cord is configured to swivel such that the opposite ends of each connector can freely rotate relative to each other to allow the football to rotate relative to the elastic cord and to allow the elastic cord to rotate relative to the anchor.

A batting ball is slidably mounted on a line having a low friction surface to provide proper swing technique and muscle memory. The line has an impact absorbing member having an impact end configured to contact a ball and a receiving chamber configured to receive a resilient member adapted to connect with a portion of a washer. A bushing having a helical portion with a central opening is inserted and affixed into a ball opening. An anchoring structure has a first end located opposite a second end. The anchoring structure has a central bore receiving a threaded portion of the first distal end of the line. The first opening and the second opening of the first end of the anchoring structure receives at least a portion of a tensioning element. A portion of the tensioning element is connected to a second attaching element being a swivel snap hook.

A new and improved training swing training device includes: (a) a deflector tube at a forward most end of its LED cable system; (b) an improved cable system sheathed in a transparent, more damage-resistant tubing; and (c) a new ball mounting system that employs an O-ring configuration for slidably engaging along the aforementioned cable system tubing with each successful contact swing with its tethered baseball (or softball).
