An adjustable laser-sensor paired system for creating or replicating a desired swing form includes a laser device and a sensor device. The laser device has a laser which emits a laser beam and a mounting device which attaches the laser device to an object. The orientation of the laser is adjustable. The sensor device has an optical linear position sensor for detecting the laser beam of the laser device and a display with LEDs for providing feedback and user interface. With the system and method, one or more checkpoints for the form of a desired swing can be created at a selected point in the swing path, which may then be used as practice reference guides to check whether the user is correctly replicating the desired swing.

A golf training device is described, and which forms an aiming point which is directed towards a golf ball by the correct positioning of a golfer's head and body, and wherein the aiming point assists the golfer in positioning and maintaining the golfer's head and body in an appropriate orientation relative to the golf ball so that the golfer may continually view the aiming point which is directed towards the golf ball through at least a portion of the golf swing of a golfer to strike the golf ball and thereby achieve improved golfing performance.

A method and system for using a low resolution image of a golfer's swing for analysis is disclosed. Cameras obtain images of various portions of a golfer's swing. A computer calculates parameters associated with a golfer and a golf club from the images. Parameters include body angles, head position, shoulder positions, arm positions, hand positions, leg positions, foot positions, club shaft angles, and club head position. Different portions of the swing are captured using the cameras, including a static initial address, a backswing, a downswing, a forward swing, and a follow-through. A computer uses measured parameters from two or more portions of the swing to determine comparative parameters during different portions of the swing. The computer uses the parameters to generate swing analysis outputs, including swing characteristic information and/or swing profile information. A correlation table relates identified swing analysis outputs to particular recommendations to the golfer to improve the swing.

A golf stroke training apparatus is disclosed, comprising a light source attached to the chest of the golfer. Light shines towards a visible surface whereby observation of the light provides information about the movement of the chest. It can be deduced how the golfer generates movement of the club, with respect to elements such as rotation around the spine or movement at other joints, such as shoulders or hands. The apparatus can be particularly useful for putting but can also guide thoracic movement in other golf strokes. Optionally, a second device having a light source can be secured in relation to the pelvis of the golfer, for use separately or in concert with the chest mounted device.

A golf training aid maintains alignment of a user's vision with an orientation line during a golf swing. The golf training aid has a stand configured to be securely positioned on the ground, a front indicator, and a rear indicator offset from the front indicator. The front indicator may be pivotally adjusted to move in synchronization with the rear indicator. The front indicator may have a first vertical element and a first horizontal element. The rear indicator may have a second vertical element and a second horizontal element. The user aligns the elements of the front indicator and the rear indicator to align the orientation line with the user's line of sight. Alignment of the orientation line with the user's line of sight defines an angle of between 40° and 80° with the ground.

A swing analysis device includes: an acquisition unit (swing video acquisition unit) acquiring a swing video of a user; a processing unit deciding an impact timing and a tempo, based on the swing video; and a display unit displaying the swing video and the tempo. The display unit, while displaying the swing video, displays the tempo when the impact timing is reached in the swing video.

A head alignment golf training aid system including a configurable frame assembly and a net member. The configurable frame assembly having a top section, middle section and bottom section, all sections collectively forming an inverted L shaped frame having a rectangular base when the frame assembly is configured. The top section includes a horizontal bar member, a support bracket member to steady the top section of the frame assembly, an alignment bar member which aids in orienting a user's head to a required position to obtain a desired golf swing, wherein the position of the alignment bar member relative to a user is adjustable to achieve a suitable orientation, and an elbow connector member for connecting the alignment bar member to the horizontal bar member. The middle section includes a vertically oriented pole member and the bottom section includes a rectangular base member having enclosed therein one or more golf tees. The rectangular base member is prefilled with weighted material to stabilize the configured frame assembly. The net member having a semicircle shaped net frame member and a screen member which attachably connects to the net frame member, the net member including designation labels, each located at a predetermined position on the screen member, wherein each designation label identifies a characteristic about the user's golf swing when a golf ball shot by the user hits the net member at one of the predetermined positions of the designation labels.

A head alignment golf training aid system including a configurable frame assembly and a net member. The configurable frame assembly having a top section, middle section and bottom section, all sections collectively forming an inverted L shaped frame having a rectangular base when the frame assembly is configured. An alignment aid for a golfer includes a handheld device with a direction finding device for determining a target vector (V1) with respect to a sighted target, a sensor device for determining a position vector (V2) as a measure of an instantaneous alignment of the golfer, and a display device. The alignment aid is operable to check an included angle (a) between the target vector (V1) and the position vector (V2) and to output a good signal (G) to the display device upon a successful check of the included angle.
