An Internet of Thing (IoT) sport device includes a body with a processor, a camera and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor.

In a first aspect, a method for monitoring a golf swing is provided that includes coupling a mobile telephone to a golf club and employing the mobile telephone coupled to the golf club to monitor acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings while a user swings the golf club, collect acceleration information based on the monitored acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings, analyze the collected acceleration information to determine one or more characteristics of the golf swing based on the collected acceleration information, and output information regarding the one or more characteristics of the golf swing on the display of the mobile telephone. A swing motion trainer used to simulate one or more sport swing movements includes a rod portion comprising a shaft with a grip. The swing motion trainer includes a resistance portion comprising an interchangeable mechanism at a distal end of the rod portion, the resistance portion includes an interchangeable mechanism at the distal end of the rod portion, wherein the interchangeable mechanism is configured to attach a removable resistance element to the distal end of the rod portion. The removable resistance element that is attachable to the distal end of the rod portion via the interchangeable mechanism. The removable resistance element provides a resistance to a swinging motion of the swing motion trainer.

A golf swing speed trainer for releasable attachment via a retainer to a shaft sleeve of a golf club shaft, including a head, a sleeve, and a weighting system. The trainer provides a highly customizable golf swing speed trainer that more accurately mimics the feel of a real club as a golfer works to increase their swing speed, without introducing any new bad habits. It allows a golfer to use their “gamer” shaft and grip during speed training, thereby increasing the user's familiarity with the trainer, which should result not only in increased swing speed but also improved consistency and accuracy.

A golfing aid includes a connector portion, a first leg and a second leg. Each leg has a first end connected to the connector portion and at least one of the first and the second leg being pivotable about the connector portion. The connector portion includes predetermined positions for arranging the first leg and the second leg. The predetermined positions include a first pivot position, a second pivot position and a third pivot position.

An apparatus is provided for indicating a golf stance. The apparatus includes foot markers configured to provide an indication of where on the ground the golfer should place his feet and a reference grid arranged on the ground in a predetermined relationship relative to the foot markers, the reference grid including a plurality of points arranged in labelled rows and columns, thereby to identify each point in the reference grid. The apparatus has a golf club attachment including an attachment formation for attachment to a shaft of a golf club and an aiming aperture or reticule, wherein the golfer is able to align his eye with one of the points on the reference grid using or through the aiming aperture. The apparatus further has a ball marker and a support stand which supports the ball marker at an elevated position above the ground where the ball is intended to be placed, wherein the golfer is able to align his eye with the ball when placed on the ground using the ball marker. In use, (1) placement of the golfer's feet, (2) alignment of the golfer's eye (and accordingly head) with one of the points on the grid and the golf club using the aiming aperture, and (3) aligning the golfer's eye (and accordingly head) with the ball using the ball marker causes a desired or predictable stance of the golfer.

A method of customizing a golf club, wherein the method includes generating operating data representative of a user operating a mechanical device. The operating data is generated by a first sensor sized and configured to be removably positioned in a mounting port formed on the mechanical device during operation of the mechanical device. The sensor is interchangeably positionable in the mounting port with at least one mass insert, the at least one mass insert being adapted to be interchangeably positioned in the mounting to provide at least two different mass configurations. The method further includes determining a recommended configuration of the at least one mass insert specific to the user based on the operating data generated by the sensor, and transmitting information representative of the recommended mass insert.

A swing analysis method includes acquiring measurement data measured by an inertial sensor in a swing motion with a golf club, and calculating torque data indicating a temporal change of a torque exerted on the golf club by analyzing the measurement data using a head speed coordination system having a first axis including a speed vector of a head of the golf club, a second axis being orthogonal to the first axis and extending along a shaft of the golf club, and a third axis orthogonal to both the first axis and the second axis.

A swing trainer configured to draw the elbows of the player together by the cocking of the player's wrists. The swing trainer includes arm mounts configured to mount to a player's arms at an intermediate position; and a link with at least a portion connected to the mounts and extending therebetween and arranged such that the portion of the link between the arms is configured to shorten during a swing of a stroke to inhibit splaying of the elbows of the player during the stroke, the link being slidably connected to the one of the mounts so it may slide past. A corresponding method of swing training using said swing trainer is also disclosed.
