Cubic element for construction toys and a method for forming same
The present invention relates to a cubic element for construction toys, including three, straight, open-ended channels each formed on an adjacent different face of the cube between two opposite faces of the cube and extending in orthogonal opposite directions to each other (X,Y,Z). Each channel includes a bottom wall and two upwardly extending parallel sidewalls, wherein the width of the bottom wall and the distance between the face which is distal to the channel that is extending orthogonally from the same cube face, and the sidewall adjacent the distal face, are substantially equal.
Configurable devices
A smart block can include a plurality of displays and configurable magnet components to selectively attract or repel other smart blocks. The smart block can include proximity sensors to identify a surface of another smart block close to the smart block to determine if the smart blocks are correctly oriented based on an application or game associated with the operation of the smart blocks. A plurality of smart blocks can be configured to display a portion of a picture (as a puzzle), such that when the smart blocks are oriented correctly they collectively display the complete picture. The smart blocks can be used in conjunction with a smart mat that is configured to move the smart blocks in response to commands received from a remote computing device. The smart blocks and the smart mat can facilitate interactivity with other, remote users, such as between a caregiver and a child.
Memory tic tac toe
A more challenging tic-tac-toe game is described. This game makes use of an apparatus comprising a grid of openings configured to receive multi-sided playing pieces that each have a symbol on one side that once the playing pieces are inserted into the grid openings with the symbol not visible to the players, each player must memorize their moves to successfully place symbol playing pieces adjacently in a row or obtain tic-tac-toe. This game can be played in several different modes, including electronic versions, with varying complexity. In this game, each move, of each player, is hidden from view once a move has been made and when a player believes they have formed tic-tac-toe, the game apparatus reveals the moves and whether a player has successfully formed tic-tac-toe or not. The methods of play combined with a game assembly that can shield moves from each player but also reveal past moves at the end of play or at other appropriate times provides a challenging game that utilizes a combination of strategic thinking and memory.
Dual-sided playing piece game apparatus and method of play
A game apparatus comprises a set of fifteen dual-sided playing pieces, a pair of dice, a stock tray, and at least two collector trays. Each of the dual-sided playing pieces has a first face comprising an indicia selected from a plurality of indicia and a second face, opposite the first face, comprising another indicia selected from the plurality of indicia. Each die comprises a number of facets corresponding to the number of indicia in the plurality of indicia. The stock tray is configured to hold a predetermined number of the dual-sided playing pieces that are available for play. Each of the at least two collector trays are configured to hold a predetermined number of the dual-sided playing pieces that are no longer available for play.
Method and apparatus for playing a chess-like game
A game apparatus includes a housing defining an interior area for electronic components, a top wall of which includes a game board having squares for receiving respective game pieces. A plurality of input buttons are included on each end of the housing by which a player may enter points to be awarded to corresponding moves of game pieces, the point being incremented on respective digital displays. The game board includes a negative containment grid for receiving one or more auxiliary game pieces. Points may be scored as game pieces are moved and opposing game pieces are captured, the game pieces having predetermined high and low values. In addition, the method of use includes a dual point assignment scheme capable of varying the points assigned to the playing pieces.
Three-dimensional expandable board game
Building blocks that facilitate configuration and assembly of playing pieces, in shapes of stair-like or clusterable edge-connected partially or fully cube-shaped pieces, are provided. According to a particular configuration of blocks, a main sub-block in the shape of half-cubes is provided, with multi edge-connectivity formation means/possibilities. The edge connectivity possibilities of the provided half-cubes are mainly implemented for the purpose of assembling and configuring clusterable stair-like playing pieces including multi-edge- and/or face-connectable cubes.
MAGNETIC ALIGNMENT SYSTEM FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL BUILDING
A magnetic alignment system for three-dimensional building includes plates with an upper surface and a lower surface, locking members coupleable to the lower surface of the plate, magnetic couplers capable of being removably attachable to the lower surface of the plate via the locking members and fasteners. The plates may be coupled to tiles, with the tiles configured to receive corner fasteners so that cuboidal playing pieces may be created.

Dice angle game
A dice angle game is played on an apparatus that has a playing surface, at least one side wall, at least one barrier within the playing area, at least one demarcated scoring area, at least one enhanced scoring area of sufficient size for at least one die to enter, and a plurality of dice. The game is played by rolling a dice against a side wall and trying to have it land in a scoring area.
