APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PLAYING MODIFIED CHESS GAME WITH PLAYERS OF DIFFERENT PROFICIENCY LEVELS
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an apparatus and method for playing modified chess game. The apparatus includes an expandable game to operate between a conventional mode and a powered mode. The apparatus further includes two sets of playing pieces, visually distinguished from each other are configured to operate in the conventional mode. The at least two bishops, the at least two knights, the at least two rooks, and the at least eight pawns of at least one set of the two sets of playing pieces are provided with a toggle switch. The toggle switch is adapted to form corresponding powered playing pieces during the modified chess game. The powered playing pieces are operated based on a set of powered rules. The apparatus further includes a power zone provided on a portion of the expandable game board to regulate movement of the powered playing pieces in the powered mode.
Game board apparatus and method of placement of tokens
A game board apparatus (100) comprising at least two tokens (130) with a hollow open end (132) and a closed surface (134) including a cavity (136) a projection (138) extending from the closed surface (134); and a board (110) with a plurality of recesses (112) structured on the board (110) to receive the tokens (130), the recess (112) includes a first surface (114), a second surface (116) enclosed by the first surface (114), and a hole (118) at the center of the second surface (116), wherein the hole (118) receives the projection (138) and the second surface (116) receives the hollow open end (132) of the token (130) thereby avoiding displacement of the token (130) from the surface of the board and wherein the cavity (136) in the closed surface of the token receives the projection (138) of the token (130) thereby allowing stacking of the tokens (130). While playing a token (130) is placed over another token (130) forming a stack (144), wherein stacking is done by selecting the shortest path such that the number of steps taken for forming a stack (144) is same as the number of tokens (130) in the stack. FIG. 1 is the representative figure.
OXO game
A gaming device includes a base member and a plurality of components. The base member has an upper surface and a bottom surface. A first pair of components is disposed within a first gaming area of the base member and a second pair of components is disposed within a second gaming area of the base member. Each of the components is in one of two selectable states that are toggled by pressing down on the components. Each component has a gaming type characteristic and either surrounds or is surrounded by another component. The gaming device is highly portable as no additional components are needed for game play. The gaming device does not include any electrical components and component states are toggled through entirely mechanical means. In one example, the gaming device provides a tic-tac-toe gaming area where the gaming type characteristics are either an O shape or an X shape.
A GAME BOARD APPARATUS AND A METHOD OF PLACEMENT OF TOKENS
