A game that is played following the same rules most football fans will understand. It consists of a playing board (measuring 36″×60″) that resembles a football field, with the yardage clearly marked (every 5 inches represents 10 yards) and a goal post at each end, a coin for decision making, twenty offense and twenty defense cards representing the teams, one set of red dice, one set of blue dice, a challenge flag, one challenge dice (with 3 sides for stand and 3 sides for overturned) and a play clock. The game is played with four six-minute quarters. The clock has multiple buttons to control the following: adjusting the game clock, adjusting each team's time-outs, adjusting each team's challenges, adjusting the score for each team.

A coin slide board game is played on a rectangular gameboard apparatus that has a smooth playing surface, two side rails (one on each long side of the playfield), and a demarcated starting region (scoring area) at each end of the playfield deep enough for at least one coin to occupy the space. In addition to the winner having bragging rights, as there is in similar games, in versions of the game the loser has a penalty consequence adding to the entertainment value.

American football is unique among all team sports with respect to the level of coaching involvement in each play. The key idea and original motive of this invention is to develop a football game algorithm to compare two play calls drawing on boards: one offense and one defense, and to predict what is the likely outcome for one scrimmage down. To make the game algorithm as close to reality as possible, many aspects need to be considered, which include but are not limited to: real football rules, real event sequence, information process logics, and balance among position players with similar role. The result of all the careful consideration is a football strategy game with three-stage algorithm for a scrimmage down.

A finger flicking football game comprises a waterproof triangular-shaped football for finger flicking and a pair of transportable game boards. Each game board comprises: a planar table surface having a plurality of apertures, each aperture designed to hold a cup sized for playing beer pong, and a pair of goal posts hinged from a rear end of each planar table surface. During game play, the players take turns flicking the football towards the cups in the other player's game board. Should their flicked football land in a cup, that player has scored a six point touchdown and can proceed to finger flick the football towards the other players goal posts for scoring an extra point.

A football-style chess game and method for opposed players includes an eight-by-eight checkerboard-style game board having an End Zone at each player end of the board, two sets of game pieces, each set including conventional chess pieces, e.g. a Quarterback (QB), a Fullback (FB), a Running Back (RB), a Wide Receiver/Defensive Back (WR/DB), a Linebacker (LB), and eight Front Line (FL) pieces. A method is also disclosed wherein the chess game is played for a fixed duration of time, and points (dollar values) are awarded to the players. The player having the highest cumulative point total at the end of the game is then declared the winner. A method is also disclosed for adapting the chess game for play electronically, such as through a global network of computers.

A soccer board game assembly for playing a soccer themed game includes a panel that is representative of a soccer field. Each of a pair of goals is coupled to the panel proximate to a respective opposing end of the panel and equally distant from opposing sides of the panel. A disc and a set of figurines are selectively positionable upon an upper surface of the panel. Each figurine comprises a base that is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user, positioning the user to tilt the figurine and to impart a downward force upon a circumference of the disc to selectively propel the disc toward a respective goal and another figurine.

A kicking disc board game, including a disc to be moved by at least one player, a board to receive the disc thereupon, and a plurality of goal posts removably connected to at least a portion of the board to receive the disc therein.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a sport simulation board game apparatus configured to simulate the game play of a sport and method of sport simulation play. The sport simulation board game apparatus includes a game board and a game chip. The game chip is configured to move across the game board when a force is applied by a user's hand. The game board comprises one or more sets of pegs and one or more openings. The one or more sets of pegs are configured to present obstacles to prevent the game chip from directly entering the openings when propelled from the center of the game board. In implementations, the method of game play can be adjusted to accommodate users of a variety of ages and skill levels. In some embodiments, the game board can be customized to include images or text selected by the end user.

The systems and methods discussed herein further provide for electronic simulation of sports-based card and board games with greater realism than conventional simulations of card and board games, with an intuitive user interface less complicated than user interfaces provided with electronic simulations of sports games. The simulation may be local to a computing device, or may utilize multiple computing devices in communication. Resources associated with a user of one computing device may be not associated with the user of another computing device, representing ownership of game tokens or entities. Resources associated with the user and resources not associated with the user may be stored separately in local databases, reducing bandwidth required for transfer of unassociated resources during multi-user simulations.
