A method to capture and utilize CO2 and an installation for capturing and utilizing CO2
The invention relates to a cyclic method for capturing and utilizing CO.sub.2 contained in a gas stream. The method uses three different materials, a first solid material, a second solid material and a CO.sub.2 sorbent material.
In a first step a first gas stream comprising CO.sub.2 and at least one reductant is brought in contact with the three materials, resulting in an outlet stream comprising water. In a second step, the captured CO.sub.2 from the first step is released and converted to CO to produce a CO rich outlet stream. The invention further relates to an installation for capturing and utilizing CO.sub.2.

Generating methane by adding hydrogen to CO.sub.2 in exhaust gas discharged a from cement production facility or CO.sub.2 that is separated and recovered from the exhaust gas, and using the methane as an alternative fuel to fossil fuel such as coal, petroleum, natural gas and the like, by methanation of CO.sub.2 in the exhaust gas from the cement production facility that includes exhaust gas originated from lime stone not from the fossil oil and effectively utilizing it, it is possible to reduce usage of the fossil fuel, suppress CO.sub.2 originated from energy, and improve an effect of reducing greenhouse gas.
HYDROCARBON RECLAMATOR
A hydrocarbon reclamator consists of a closed chamber having an exhaust inlet port, a hydrogen inlet port, and a hydrocarbon outlet port. A magnetic flux is generated at the base of the closed chamber and a rotor is suspended by the magnetic flux within the closed chamber. The rotor is formed as a Tesla turbine having axially spaced discs concentrically mounted on a central shaft, a catalyst is formed on surfaces of the discs, and flow holes are formed through the discs. Venturi forces direct gas to release kinetic energy against the discs, so that hydrogen entering the chamber combines with carbon entering the chamber to form a hydrocarbon that exits the chamber via the hydrocarbon outlet port.
Catalyst comprising a mixture of an AFX-structure zeolite and a BEA-structure zeolite and at least one transition metal for selective reduction of NOx
The invention relates to a catalyst comprising a mixture of AFX-structure and BEA-structure zeolites and at least one additional transition metal, to the process for preparing same and to the use thereof for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx in the presence of a reducing agent such as NH.sub.3 or H.sub.2.
PROCESSES AND APPARATUSES FOR REDUCING CARBON MONOXIDE LEVELS IN A GASEOUS STREAM
Processes for reducing carbon monoxide levels in a carbon dioxide rich gaseous stream. The carbon dioxide rich stream is passed to a preferential oxidation zone to selectively convert carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. Excess oxygen is consumed by reacting with hydrogen, which may be added or controlled based on PSA operating conditions upstream of the preferential oxidation zone. The preferential oxidation zone may be contained within a bed of a dryer.

SELECTIVE DEPOSITION WITH SURFACE TREATMENT
Embodiments of the invention provide methods for selective deposition on different materials using a surface treatment. According to one embodiment, the method includes providing a substrate containing a first material layer having a first surface and a second material layer having a second surface, and performing a chemical oxide removal process that terminates that second surface with hydroxyl groups. The method further includes modifying the second surface by exposure to a process gas containing a hydrophobic functional group, the modifying substituting the hydroxyl groups on the second surface with the hydrophobic functional group, and selectively depositing a metal-containing layer on the first surface but not on the modified second surface by exposing the substrate to a deposition gas.
Pyrolysis/Gasification System For use in a Method of Carbon Sequestration
The present invention provides a nitrogen oxide ultra-low emission and carbon negative emission system and a control method, and the system comprises: a carbon negative emission system, a nitrogen oxide ultra-low emission system, an air supply device and a flow control module. The carbon negative emission system is used for enabling biomass to produce inorganic carbon and pyrolysis gas/gasification gas to realize negative emission of carbon; the nitrogen oxide ultra-low emission system is used for enabling fuel to be in mixed combustion with the pyrolysis gas/gasification gas to remove nitrogen oxides, which realizes ultra-low emission of the nitrogen oxides; the air supply device is in communication with biomass pyrolysis coupling partial gasification via a first pipeline, the air supply device is in communication with the carbon negative emission system and the nitrogen oxide ultra-low emission system via a second pipeline, and the pyrolysis gas/gasification gas enters the nitrogen oxide ultra-low emission system via the second pipeline; the flow control module controls a flow ratio of a pyrolysis agent/gasification agent entering the carbon negative emission system and flow of the pyrolysis gas/gasification gas and air entering the nitrogen oxide ultra-low emission system.

The gas production apparatus 1 consists of the following: a separation and capture section 5, which separates and captures separated gas containing mainly of carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas taken from the line of the exhaust gas equipment; a reaction section 4 including at least a reactor, which is connected to downstream of the separation and capture section 5, contains a reducing agent that generates carbon monoxide through a reduction reaction of carbon dioxide brought into contact with the separated gas, and is capable of separating at least some of oxygen atoms separated from carbon dioxide; a pressure regulating section 7 connected to downstream of the reactor 4 to regulate the pressure of the separated gas supplied to the reactor; and the flow regulating section 6 connected on the upstream of the separation and capture section 5 and regulates the flow rate of the separated gas supplied to the reactor.
Method for separating off and immobilizing carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide from an exhaust gas
The invention relates to a method for separating off and immobilizing carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide from an exhaust gas (18). In the method, a stoichiometric ratio of carbon dioxide to hydrogen, and/or of carbon monoxide to hydrogen, which is suitable for a methanation reaction is set by virtue of a corresponding quantity of hydrogen or alternatively carbon dioxide and/or possibly carbon monoxide being supplied, with an auxiliary gas (24), to the exhaust gas (18). Subsequently, a catalytic reaction is performed in which, as starting products, carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide and hydrogen are converted into methane and water. The methane is separated off from the product of the catalytic reaction and is subsequently split into carbon and hydrogen, wherein the carbon takes solid form. The split-off carbon is collected and disposed of.
