ALKALI-BASED REMOVAL OF CHEMICAL MOIETIES FROM GAS STREAMS WITH CHEMICAL CO-GENERATION
The present disclosure provides systems and methods useful in capture of one more moieties (e.g., carbon dioxide) from a gas stream (i.e., direct air capture). In various embodiments, the systems and methods can utilize at least a scrubbing unit, a regeneration unit, and an electrolysis unit whereby an alkali solution can be used to strip the moiety (e.g., carbon dioxide) from the gas stream, the removed moiety can be regenerated and optionally purified for capture or other use, and a formed salt can be subjected to electrolysis to recycle the alkali solution back to the scrubber for re-use with simultaneous production of one or more further chemicals.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING AND USING ALKALINE AQUEOUS FERRIC IRON CARBONATE SOLUTIONS
A method for producing and using an alkaline aqueous ferric iron carbonate solution is disclosed. The method broadly comprises reacting at least one ferric iron salt reagent with at least one alkali metal carbonate salt reagent and forming an alkaline aqueous ferric iron carbonate solution comprising an aqueous-soluble, ferric iron carbonate complex. The reacting generally includes reacting a solid with an aqueous solution. The reacting may include reacting a solid comprising one or both of the ferric iron salt reagent and alkali metal carbonate salt reagent with an aqueous solution. A method for removing reduced sulfur compounds from a reduced sulfur-containing fluid is also disclosed.
Reductant nozzle with helical channel design
A nozzle including a first end and a second end. The first end includes at least a first inlet and a second inlet and the second end includes a plurality of outlets. An exterior surface extends from the first end to the second end of the nozzle. A plurality of vanes are disposed on the exterior surface and extend from the first end to the second end of the nozzle. A plurality of channels form along the exterior surface of the nozzle.
METHODS OF TREATMENT OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS USING CHLORINE DIOXIDE
In various embodiments, methods of treating a space to reduce a concentration of volatile organic compounds present in the space using chlorine dioxide are provided. A method can include application of aqueous and gaseous chlorine dioxide solutions within the space or to materials located within the space. Treatment of materials that emit volatile organic compounds with chlorine dioxide can reduce the emission rate or shorten the volatile organic compound emission cycle of the material. Soft surface substrates such as carpeting materials can be treated with chlorine dioxide to reduce volatile organic compound emission and/or to reduce the number of microorganisms present in the material.
ELECTROCATALYTIC DEGRADATION DEVICE FOR ORGANIC WASTEWATER
Disclosed is an electrocatalytic degradation device for organic wastewater, which includes an electrocatalytic oxidation reactor, a spray tower and a drying tower. The electrocatalytic oxidation reactor is provided with a hydroxyl generator, a catalyst filler and a box body. The box body of the electrocatalytic oxidation reactor is provided with a gas gathering device connected with the spray tower. An upper gas outlet of the spray tower is connected with the drying tower. The disclosure combines the electrooxidation reaction with the catalytic reaction to improve the electrooxidation efficiency of the electrocatalytic oxidation reactor and efficiently degrade the high salt high organic wastewater. The decomposed by-products are effectively utilized. The generated hydrogen is collected by the gas gathering device and enters the spray tower. The CO.sub.2 gas is absorbed after treatment. The CO.sub.2-removed gas passes through the drying tower to absorb moisture to obtain pure hydrogen.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIRECT CAPTURE OF CARBON-CONTAINING GAS
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus, system and method for selectively capturing a carbon-containing gas from an input gas mixture.
Exhaust gas cleanup and recovery system CO2 capture and sequestration with commercial byproducts
A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas clean-up and recovery system is provided to remove detrimental exhaust gases from the power plant exhaust and to produce and reclaim various commercial byproducts. A process includes mixing one liquid solution with a solubilizer in a mixing tank containing water to create a chemical reaction therein to produce an ionic solid compound and an alkaline liquid solution. Simultaneously directing the flue gases and the alkaline liquid solution into the wet scrubber to create a chemical reaction therein. The chemical reaction removes various detrimental exhaust gases from the flue gases and captures CO.sub.2 gases therefrom, which are chemically transferred into a newly formed sodium bicarbonate solution. The sodium bicarbonate solution exiting the wet scrubber is stored for resale or reuse in the subject process. The process uses various pathways to distribute the sodium bicarbonate for producing other byproducts.
Apparatus, system and method for direct capture of carbon-containing gas
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus, system and method for selectively capturing a carbon-containing gas from an input gas mixture.
APPARATUS FOR TREATING GASEOUS POLLUTANTS
An apparatus for treating gaseous pollutants includes a gas inlet part, a first treatment unit, a second treatment unit and a non-mechanical flow-guiding device. The gas inlet part includes a gas inlet chamber and at least one guide pipe. The guide pipe communicates with the gas inlet chamber and guides an effluent stream from a semiconductor process to the gas inlet chamber. The first treatment unit is coupled to a bottom end of the gas inlet part and is configured to abate the effluent stream. The non-mechanical flow-guiding device is coupled to the first treatment unit. The flow-guiding device is configured to guide the effluent stream to move toward an opening. The second treatment unit is coupled to the flow-guiding device via the opening, receives the effluent stream from the first treatment unit and further abates the effluent stream.
Method and apparatus for purifying gas
A method and apparatus for purifying gas where gas is treated in a multistage treatment having at least two ejector stages, a motive medium including liquid, steam or gaseous agent at high pressure injected by an ejector of the ejector stage, and the gas is sucked into the same ejector and mixed with the motive medium for forming a mixture, at least a part of gas and/or liquid phase of the mixture is supplied to a second ejector stage having so that a second motive medium which includes liquid, steam or gaseous agent is injected to the ejector and the gas and/or the liquid phase is sucked into the same ejector in which the gas and/or liquid phase is mixed with the second motive medium for forming a second mixture, at least one of the mixtures includes an additive for removing impurities of the gas, and a purified gas is formed.
