TUBULAR REACTOR WITH MIXING MEANS
A process and apparatus wherein a process material comprising two or more distinct phases are fed continuously to a tubular reactor containing an agitator wherein as the phases flow along the reactor the agitator displaces at least part of a first phase from its natural position to within a second phase where it is distributed within the second phase by the agitator and the agitator is designed to allow the first phase that is distributed within the second phase to flow naturally back towards its natural distinct position within the reactor as the phases pass through the reactor, useful for mixing and/or reacting liquid/liquid; gas/gas and liquid/gas mixtures as well as solid liquid mixtures.
METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF AN AERATOR IN THE FIELD OF WATER TREATMENT
Disclosed is a method for managing the operation of an apparatus for injecting oxygen into a purification basin. The oxygen notably being used by the biomass present in the purification basin to consume the pollution present in an effluent feedstock contained in the basin. The method comprises varying a rotational speed of the shaft by using a frequency variator, wherein an applied variation in speed is between plus 15% and minus 15% of the nominal speed of the shaft.
Aeration discs and methods for using same
Aeration discs used in water treatment and methods of using same are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, an aeration disc may comprise projections and depressions located on at least one of its surfaces. The aeration discs may be incorporated into aeration devices and water treatment systems.
ALCOHOLIZER FOR RECEIVING A FLUID
The disclosure provides an alcoholizer for receiving a fluid, the alcoholizer includes a fixing component configured with a bearing and a turbine blade movably connected to the fixing component through the bearing. When the turbine blade is configured to receive the fluid, the bearing is driven to rotate. The alcoholizer of the present disclosure facilitates quick decanting of brewing liquid (such as red wine) by mixing the liquid with air.
Soap spinner
An apparatus for use in a bathtub containing water includes an outer shell, a soap holder, configured to hold a liquid soap, at least one set of blades, and a motor disposed within the outer shell and coupled to the set of blades. The motor is configured to form soap bubbles by spinning the set of blades such that the blades lift the water from the bathtub, and pass the lifted water, together with liquid soap from the soap holder, through air.
Method of controlling a circulation-type wastewater treatment plant via a stored parameter relationship in a control unit
A plant and method for controlling such a plant suitable for treatment of waste water. The plant includes a basin, a flow generating machine adapted to generate a liquid flow in the basin, equipment in the basin that effects the momentum of the liquid flow, and a control unit. The method includes the steps of: storing a predetermined relationship between the operational speed N of the flow generating machine and an operational parameter P from which the torque M of the flow generating machine may be derived, determining the operational speed N, determining a set value of the operational parameter P of the flow generating machine, determining a real value of the operational parameter P of the flow generating machine, and adjusting the operational speed N if the real value of the operational parameter P is different than the set value of the operational parameter P.
Soap Spinner
Embodiments described herein include an apparatus for use in a bathtub containing water. The apparatus includes an outer shell, a soap holder, configured to hold a liquid soap, at least one set of blades, and a motor disposed within the outer shell and coupled to the set of blades. The motor is configured to form soap bubbles by spinning the set of blades such that the blades lift the water from the bathtub, and pass the lifted water, together with liquid soap from the soap holder, through air. Other embodiments are also described.
A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENHANCING GAS MASS TRANSFER
The present invention provides a system and a method for enhancing mass transfer of a gas between a gaseous medium and a liquid medium in reactions involving such a mass transfer, and for effective mixing of the liquid medium.
A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING NANOBUBBLES
The present invention provides a system and a method for generating nanobubbles in a liquid medium, which involves one or more movable members, each having a surface and configured to periodically expose at least a portion of the surface to the gaseous medium and the liquid medium to form a wetted surface, thereby generating a renewing wetted surface for enhancing mass transfer of the gas between the liquid medium and gaseous medium; and means for generating an electric field in the proximity of the renewing wetted surface for the generation of nanobubbles without electrolysis of the liquid medium.
