A modular reactor device has an outer housing, a reaction chamber, a fluid pathway connected to the reaction chamber, and a valve to control flow of fluid within the device. The outer housing has a plurality of connection ports including: a fluid input and a fluid output; an electrical input; and a pneumatic input. Either the electrical input or the pneumatic input is connected to the valve to provide for control of the valve, and either the fluid input or the fluid output is connected to the reaction chamber or the fluid pathway. Other aspects provide a base station for receiving and controlling a modular reactor device and methods for manufacturing the modular reactor device and for performing reactions using a modular reactor device.
A METHOD FOR PREPARING NANOMETER-SIZED SURFACE FLUORINATED BATTERY MATERIALS
A method uses mild fluorinating agents, such as hydrofluorocarbons—HCFs, perfluorocarbons—PFCs, hydrochlorofluorocarbons HCFCs and chlorofluorocarbons—CFCs, to fine-tune the fluorination process in battery material preparation in order to obtain uniform nanometer-sized surface fluoride coated battery materials. The use of a vertical flow-type tube reactor permits a fine-tuning of the fluorination process by accurately regulating the active gas or mixture of gases flow over battery materials using mass-flow regulators, and precisely setting the temperature with vertical rube furnace. Additionally, these fluorinating agents have slightly different reactivity, decomposing and reacting with battery materials at different temperatures, and therefore, offering additional parameter of fluorination fine-tuning. The method is scalable and can be easily adapted as an industrial solution. Moreover, all these gases are non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-flammable gases at room temperatures, hence, they are more convenient to handle than highly-toxic and highly-corrosive HF and F.sub.2 gases.
Waterless decarboxylation
A waterless decarboxylation device used to decarboxylate cannabis is described. For example, the device could include a product container to contain an amount of raw cannabis plant material, a heating container configured to surround and contact the product container, a heater in contact with the heating container, a foam layer surrounding the product container and heating container, at least one sensor configured to detect the temperature of the heating container, a lid that encloses the product container and fluidly seals it from the environment, and a controller configured to control power to the heater in response to signals sent from the at least one sensor indicating whether the heating container has reached a threshold temperature.
Feed gas feeding system for propylene ammoxidation reactor
A feed gas feeding system for a propylene ammoxidation reactor comprises a feed gas mixing system and a feed distributor, wherein a propylene and ammonia mixed gas is mixed by the feed gas mixing system and then uniformly distributed in the propylene ammoxidation reactor by the feed distributor. The initial temperature T.sub.0 when the propylene and ammonia mixed gas enters the feed distributor is 10-220° C. The feed gas feeding system can prevent the temperature of the gas mixture at any position in the feed distributor from reaching a temperature at which ammonia decomposes into active nitrogen atoms, thereby reducing a risk of brittle nitriding fractures of the feed distributor.

Other aspects provide a base station for receiving and controlling a modular reactor device and methods for manufacturing the modular reactor device and for performing reactions using a modular reactor device.

FEED GAS FEEDING SYSTEM FOR PROPYLENE AMMOXIDATION REACTOR
The present invention provides a feed gas feeding system for a propylene ammoxidation reactor. The feed gas feeding system comprises a feed gas mixing system and a feed distributor. A propylene and ammonia mixed gas is mixed by the feed gas mixing system and then uniformly distributed in the propylene ammoxidation reactor by means of the feed distributor, an initial temperature T.sub.0 when the propylene and ammonia mixed gas enters the feed distributor being 10-220 C. The propylene and ammonia feed gas feeding system of the present invention for ammoxidation of propylene and the preparation of acrylonitrile prevents the temperature of a gas mixture at any position in the propylene and ammonia feed distributor from reaching a temperature at which ammonia decomposes into active nitrogen atoms, thereby reducing a risk of brittle nitriding fractures of the propylene and ammonia distributor.
