CO2 METHANATION USING PLASMA CATALYSIS
An apparatus for forming methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen is described. The apparatus comprises: a dielectric barrier discharge, DBD, device arranged to generate a plasma; and a passageway having an inlet for the carbon dioxide and the hydrogen and an outlet for the methane and including therein a catalyst comprising nickel and alumina. The passageway extends, at least in part, through the DBD device wherein, in use, the carbon dioxide is exposed to the catalyst in the presence of the hydrogen in the generated plasma, thereby forming the methane from at least some of the carbon dioxide and the hydrogen. A method, a use and a catalyst are also described.
CO2 HYDROGENATION TO OXYGENATES USING PLASMA CATALYSIS
An apparatus for forming C1 to C5 alcohol, carboxylic acid, or mixture thereof from carbon dioxide and hydrogen is described. The apparatus comprises: a dielectric barrier discharge, DBD, device arranged to generate a plasma; and a passageway having an inlet for the carbon dioxide and the hydrogen and an outlet for the C1 to C5 alcohol, carboxylic acid, or mixture thereof and including therein a catalyst comprising nickel and/or cobalt and/or copper on a support. The passageway extends, at least in part, through the DBD device wherein, in use, the carbon dioxide is exposed to the catalyst in the presence of the hydrogen in the generated plasma, thereby forming the C1 to C5 alcohol, carboxylic acid, or mixture thereof from at least some of the carbon dioxide and the hydrogen. The DBD devices comprises a water electrode. A method and a catalyst are also described.

COAL TO ACETYLENE PLASMA REACTOR HAVING COKING INHIBITION AND ONLINE DECOKING FUNCTIONS
The present invention discloses a coal-to-acetylene plasma reactor having coking inhibition and online decoking functions, comprising a vertically arranged cathode rod, an anode and a circulating cooling water jacket arranged outside the anode, the anode includes from top to bottom an anode of the electric arc operation section for cooperating with the cathode rod to generate an electric arc, and an anode of the reaction section located below the electric arc, the anode is grounded, the inner diameter of the anode of the reaction section is 1.2 to 10 times the inner diameter of the anode of the electric arc operation section, and the junction of the anode of the reaction section and the anode of the electric arc operation section is circumferentially provided with a decoking nozzle that can spray a decoking medium toward the anode of the reaction section. The present invention uses the method of changing the inner diameter of the reactor and setting nozzles for diaphragm protection, fundamentally suppressing or even eliminating the coking phenomenon during the operation of the reactor, no need to set the decoking cycle, and realizing the continuous cracking operation of the reactor.

The device includes a container having a space for holding a carbon source, wherein the container has an entry opening for receiving the carbon source material, at least two electrodes for applying an electrical current through the space for joule heating the carbon source, wherein the space for joule heating the carbon source is between the at least to electrodes, and a movement component for moving the carbon source, with respect to the container, into the entry opening in a first direction and the at least two electrodes apply the electrical current in a second direction, wherein the first direction is not the same as the second direction.

The invention relates to a device consisting of a reactor facility for the electrolytic treatment, with relation to flow dynamics, of fluid or gaseous media or mixtures of the two. In the context of this invention, electrolytic treatment with relation to flow dynamics means the combination of the production of at least one rotating fluid eddy and the eversion of the eddy by means of electrolysis taking place in the reactor facility. The guided fluid eddy is efficiently treated, cleaned and disinfected by this combination in the reactor facility according to the invention. The invention further relates to a method for the electrolytic treatment, with relation to flow dynamics, of fluid media in the reactor facility according to the invention.
Catalytic multi-reaction zone reactor system
The present invention is a production method for ammonia and ammonia derivatives in a Multi-Reaction Zone Reactor. Said production method comprising the steps of: a) producing at least some section of ammonia as a result of balance reaction of ammonia by means of nitrogen and hydrogen catalyst in at least one primary reaction zone (RZ-1), b) realizing absorption by means of chemical or physical absorbents of at least some section of ammonia which is in gas form and which is produced in primary reaction zone (RZ-1) in at least one secondary reaction zone (RZ-2) which is not separated by discrete physical barriers with the primary reaction zone (RZ-1).
System and apparatus for processing material to generate syngas using primary and secondary reactor chambers
System for generating syngas includes a primary reactor chamber operable to receive material, a plurality of first-stage gas pipes connected to the primary reactor chamber, and a secondary reactor chamber. The primary reactor chamber comprises a plurality of electrodes at least partially protruding into the primary reactor chamber, the electrodes operable to generate an arc capable to generate first-stage gas from breakdown of the material within the primary reactor chamber when electricity is applied to the electrodes. The secondary reactor chamber is operable to receive the first-stage gas via the first-stage gas pipes and to receive water vapor. The first-stage gas combines and interacts with the water vapor to form second-stage gas. Each of the first-stage gas pipes comprise a portion protruding into the secondary reactor chamber that together are adapted to direct the flow of first-stage gas to generate turbulence within the secondary reactor chamber.
Free radical generator and methods of use
Devices suitable for use in an advanced oxidation method for organic and inorganic pollutants deploying OH* radicals and ozone is disclosed. Optionally, a first discharge device, providing OH* radicals and second discharge device providing ozone, are combined to provide desirable chemical and biocidal characteristics. Further, efficient mixing systems for transferring the radicals to the target fluid are disclosed.
Universal Chemical Processor
A universal chemical processor (UCP) including a reactor vessel with a main chamber, comprises inlets for feedstock, a fluidizing medium and reactants. The UCP further includes a reactive X-ray chemical processor (RXCP) having a large area hollow cylindrical cold cathode in the main chamber, a grid positioned concentrically with respect to the cathode, and an anode positioned concentrically with respect to the cathode and grid. In operation, when activated, the cathode of the RXCP emits electrodes onto the anode, which then emits X-rays into a radiation zone within the main chamber capable of ionizing feedstock and reactants, inducing chemical reactions, and sterilizing and decomposing organic materials within the radiation zone, and wherein, a fluidized bed is supported in the main chamber when the fluidizing medium and feedstock are supplied. The RXCP and the fluidized bed portions can be operated separately or in conjunction to achieve unanticipated results.
