REACTORS FOR SEPARATING WAX PRODUCTS FROM LIGHTWEIGHT GASEOUS PRODUCTS OF A REACTION
A reactor for hydrocarbon production that separates wax reaction products from lightweight gaseous reaction products. The reactor has a housing, a catalyst bed, a product recovery zone, and a stripping zone. The catalyst bed can be provided in multi-tubular and other fixed bed configurations. The stripping zone receives light-weight gas reaction products from the product recovery zone, while a gas outlet of the housing receives non-lightweight gaseous hydrocarbon reaction products from the product recovery zone. A wax outlet of the housing receives wax products from the product recovery zone.
EXPANDABLE CENTER ARRANGEMENT
An expandable center arrangement for a reactor is disclosed. The arrangement comprises an expansion tube; a center support inside the expansion tube and three or more spring elements. The spring elements are fastened to the center support and arc out to the expansion tube. A reactor is also disclosed.
Plate-type reactor with in-situ injection
A chemical reactor including: a plurality of heat exchange plates which between them define reaction compartments, in which reactor each heat exchange plate includes two walls between them defining at least one heat exchange space, the respective walls being fixed together by joining regions, and the reactor also comprises at least one injection device for injecting substance into the reaction compartments, said substance-injection device passing through the heat-exchange plates in respective joining regions thereof. Also, a chemical reaction process that can be carried out in this reactor.
Photocatalytic sanitizing reactor
A sanitizing photocatalytic reactor suitable for air liquid or liquid fluids includes a reaction region containing a photocatalyst selected from nanotechnological materials of natural light photocatalyst type, which is supported on an inert support or mixed with a plastic material, and an illumination region having white color LED lights, the reaction region further having one or more channels through which the fluids to be sanitized flow.
FIXED-BED TUBULAR REACTOR
A tubular reactor comprises a catalytic powder bed confined in an annular space delimited by an inner wall and an outer wall, the insert comprises a distribution chamber and a collection chamber, separated by at least one first partition wall, the distribution chamber comprising distribution compartments separated from one another by second partition walls, each distribution compartment and the collection chamber comprising, respectively, an intake opening and a discharge opening, the inner wall comprises distributing openings and a collecting opening, each distributing opening enabling the distribution of a gas towards the annular space, and the collecting opening enabling the collection of the gas distributed in the annular space by the collection chamber.
Method and tool for installing reactor components
The invention includes a reactor installation device comprising a flexible band, a first tab, a second tab, and a mechanical stop. The flexible band has a first end, a second end, a top edge and a bottom edge. The first tab is attached at or near the first end, the second tab is attached at or near the second end, and the both tabs are attached at or near the top edge of the flexible band. The mechanical stop is attached to the flexible band, the first tab, and/or the second tab, between the top edge and the bottom edge of the flexible band. The flexible band is capable of being bent into the shape of a circle by bringing the first and second tabs into contact. The invention also includes a method of inserting a skirt seal into a stackable structural reactor using the reactor installation device.
Micro reformer
A reformer suitable for micro-scale design has horizontal catalyst tube(s) passing through a baffled radiant section for convective and radiant heat transfer to the tube(s). To reduce the footprint and/or to facilitate field assembly a combustion chamber and convection section can be oriented transversely with respect to the radiant section; the tube(s) can be horizontal and/or include structured catalyst; and/or the combustion chamber provides flameless combustion or produces a flame without impinging on the tubes. Also, a skid frame-mountable version of the reformer; and a process for transporting, assembling, and/or operating the steam methane reformer.

Axial-radial flow converter
In a cooled axial/radial flow converter, in which process gas passes from an outer annulus via a catalyst bed to an inner center tube, the catalyst bed is divided into identical modules stacked on top of each other. The process gas reaches the catalyst through openings facing the outer annulus, passes axially down the catalyst bed of each module, leaves the module through collectors in the bottom thereof, and flows to the center tube. The catalyst bed is cooled by cooling panels, in which the process gas is pre-heated to the reaction temperature, while at the same time the heat of reaction is partly removed from the catalyst bed. The converter is especially suitable as ammonia converter.
