System and method for cryogenic separation of plant material
Systems and methods for cryogenic separation of plant material are provided. A vessel is filled with cryogenic fluid having a temperature at or less than −150 degrees Celsius. Plant material is placed into the vessel via a basket and agitation is provided to the plant material in the vessel for a predetermined time period. Upon completion of the time period, the basket having at least a portion of the plant material is removed from the vessel. Plant particulates separated from the plant material during the agitation settle to the bottom of the vessel. The vessel is drained of the cryogenic fluid, including plant particulates separated from the plant material.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CRYOGENIC SEPARATION OF PLANT MATERIAL
Systems and methods for cryogenic separation of plant material are provided. A method of cryogenic separation of plant material, includes placing a sieve into a vessel. Plant material is placed in the sieve. Cryogenic fluid is provided at or below −150 degrees Celsius to the sieve. The plant material is agitated within the sieve and the vessel to separate plant particulates solidified by the cryogenic fluid from the remainder of the plant material. The cryogenic fluid and plant particulates are removed from the vessel.
UNDERGROUND COAL HYPERGRAVITY FIELD SEPARATION SYSTEM AND SEPARATION PROCESS
The present disclosure relates to the field of mineral processing and separation, and in particular, to an underground coal hypergravity field separation system and a separation process. The separation system includes a grading hydrocyclone group, hypergravity field separators, feeding pumps, and conveying pumps. Coal collected underground is graded through a grading hydrocyclone first, then is fed into the hypergravity field separators for separation, and finally, is conveyed to a next link for dehydration through the conveying pumps. The separation system of the present disclosure has less supporting equipment, small floor area, and no complex pipeline, and is suitable for a downhole operation. In addition, the hypergravity field separators can provide a high-strength centrifugal acceleration, which can realize rapid separation of coal gangue particles in a radial direction and a tangential direction, and realize effective separation of fine coal gangue particles.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FOUR DIMENSIONALLY SEPARATING MATERIALS
This application discloses a separator for separating and recovering materials from a waste stream. The separator has a cyclone having a top section and a bottom section, an impeller within the cyclone, a media inlet for accepting a flow of media or a pulsating flow of the media operatively connected to the impeller in which media or fluid flows through the impeller into the separator; a first discharge passage for a collecting a light fraction, and a second discharge passage for collecting a heavy fraction.
DRILLING SYSTEM USING DRILL BEADS AND METHOD OF USING AND RECOVERING THE SAME
A method to recover drill beads from a drilling fluid used in a drilling operation comprising the steps of: directing a drilling fluid containing drill beads into a drill string positioned in a well bore, the drill beads having magnetic properties; recovering the drilling fluid containing at least a portion of the drill beads from the well bore; and magnetically separating the drill beads from the drilling fluid.
Method for sorting a collection of bodies comprising cemented carbide bodies and non-cemented carbide bodies
The disclosure relates to a method for sorting a collection of bodies including cemented carbide bodies and non-cemented carbide bodies. A melt having one or more of bismuth, tin and lead and having a density in the range of 7.0-12.0 g/cm.sup.3 is provided. The collection is subjected to a sorting process based on density difference by providing the collection in the melt and allowing the bodies to be sorted into a first group at a top surface of the melt and a second group at a bottom of the melt. The first group includes non-cemented carbide bodies having a density lower than the density of the melt and the second group includes cemented carbide bodies having a density higher than the density of the melt. The present disclosure also relates to a method for recycling of cemented carbides comprising the sorting method and recycling of the second group.
PROCESS FOR SEPARATING AMINO AND/OR ORGANIC ACID-CONTAINING PARTICLES FROM A MIXTURE
A method for separating amino and/or organic acid-containing particles from a mixture of amino and/or organic acid-containing particles based on density is disclosed, the method comprising: providing a feed of the amino and/or organic acid-containing particles; providing a medium having a selected density effective for particles of a lower density than the selected density to float in the medium for particles of a higher density than the selected density to sink in the medium; combining the feed of the amino and/or organic acid-containing particles with the medium; and separating the amino and/or organic acid-containing particles of the higher density from the amino and/or organic acid-containing particles of the lower density.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING EGG SHELL AND EGG SHELL MEMBRANE FROM EACH OTHER
Provided is a method that enables sufficient separation of an egg shell and an egg shell membrane from each other even in a small scale, using a simpler configuration than conventional methods. The method for separating an egg shell and an egg shell membrane from each other includes a step of adding an egg shell with an egg shell membrane attached thereto to a swirling flow of an alkaline solution.
System and method for separating materials using stirring motion, stratification, and vertical motion
A cyclonic separation and materials processing method and system is presented in which materials entry at one end and which is arranged so that the materials that enter will be given a tangential velocity component as they enter. Specific embodiments include a three-dimensional sorting system with the use of an outward centrifugal motion and up/down (or vertical) motion flow of water or other media, which can be thought of as “a three-dimensional separation”.
