FOG INJECTION NOZZLE
A fog injection nozzle able to generate a swirling cone of fog. The nozzle includes an internal cavity into which a pressurized liquid and a pressurized gas are introduced. The pressurized liquid is introduced into the cavity via a central axial duct of a cylindrical block and the pressurized gas is introduced into the cavity via a plurality of axial through holes disposed about the central axial duct. The axial through holes and radial arms are arranged such that a mixture of the liquid and gas inside the cavity is asymmetrically deflected by the radial arms to cause a swirling tangential component to appear in the conical flow of fog discharged from the nozzle.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SPRAY DROPLET SIZE OF A SPRAY NOZZLE APPARATUS FOR SPRAY-DRYING APPLICATIONS, SPRAY DRYING APPARATUS AND NOZZLE THEREFORE
A method of controlling the spray droplet size of a spray nozzle apparatus, in particular for the manufacturing of food powders, delivered to the spray nozzle comprises the following steps: a) providing a paste of a product to be sprayed by a spray nozzle; b) continuously determining the shear viscosity (η) of the product paste delivered to the spray nozzle; c) determining the mass flow rate (Qm) of the product paste delivered to the spray nozzle; d) determining the static pressure (P) of the product paste delivered to the spray nozzle; e) determining the density (p) of the product paste delivered to the spray nozzle; f) delivering the data obtained in steps b) to e) to a control device comprising a computer and a memory; g) calculating control data for adjusting the spray nozzle on the basis of the data obtained in steps b) to e) and on nozzle geometry parameters stored in the memory; h) sending the control data as control signals to a control means of the spray nozzle and adjusting the spray nozzle accordingly.
Spray nozzle
A spray nozzle comprising a housing including a primary passage defining a primary axis, a series of secondary passages configured to provide swirl to a fluid passing therethrough circumferentially positioned around the housing, a series of standoffs circumferentially spread around an outer surface of the housing and located downstream along the primary axis of the series of swirling passages, wherein each of the swirling passages corresponds to a respective standoff of the series of standoffs, in order to control the swirl of the fluid.
TWO-PIECE NOZZLE FOR AEROSOL DISPENSERS
The two-piece nozzle for an aerosol dispenser, has (i) an outer piece (12, 22) provided with a tubular wall (121, 221) open on one side and closed on the other by a front wall (122, 222), forming a cavity, the front wall being provided at its center with an outlet opening (123, 223), the outer piece having a certain symmetry about an axis of symmetry (A) and (ii) inner piece (11, 21) separate from the dispenser for which the nozzle is intended, the inner piece (11, 21) being dimensioned to penetrate into the cavity of the outer piece while being retained therein, the inner piece having a front face (111, 211) facing the front wall (122, 222) of the outer piece and a lateral face following the front face. Channels (112, 125, 224, 225) are made in the cavity of the outer piece (12, 22) and/or on the surface of the inner piece, which channels open into a turbulence chamber (127, 227) in communication with the outlet opening (123, 223), the outlet opening (123, 223) being placed in the flow path of the product flow downstream of the turbulence chamber. The channels are divided into lateral channels (112, 224) in the lateral face of the inner piece (11, 21) and/or in the inner face of the tubular wall of the outer piece (12, 22), and into converging channels (125, 225) in the front wall (122, 222) of the outer piece or in the front face (111, 211) of the inner piece.
DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A VORTEX WATER JET
A device for dispensing a vortex water jet has a device body in which a water swirling path is obtained. The water swirling path has a swirling chamber defined between two opposite side walls which axially extend between a plurality of water inlet ends circumferentially arranged about the swirling chamber, and a water outlet end. The water swirling path has a plurality of chamber supply channels which are angled with respect to the swirling chamber, each chamber supply channel leading into a water inlet end of the swirling chamber. The device generates an output swirling water jet having shapes with particular aesthetical effect.
