The present invention relates generally to cleaning waste collection systems such as but not limited to sewers, sumps, wet wells, collection tanks, digesters, clarifiers, classifiers, etc. and in particular to cleaning and removal of solid and liquid materials therefrom. In another embodiment, the present invention relates to an improved slurry hose and/or pipe for use in connection with cleaning waste collection systems such as but not limited to sewers, sumps, wet wells, collection tanks, digesters, clarifiers, classifiers, etc. and in particular to cleaning and removal of solid and liquid materials therefrom.

Cleaning process for a powder transfer system

A method of cleaning a complex powder transfer system including providing a powder transfer system having a washing fluid source, a spray device valve in fluid communication with the washing fluid source, a backflush valve in fluid communication with the washing fluid source, a receiving device having an upper chamber, a lower chamber, and a membrane filter disposed between the upper and lower chambers. The method includes opening the backflush valve to initiate a backflush cycle, running the backflush cycle to wash the upper chamber with a fluid, and closing the backflush valve after the backflush cycle completes. The method includes opening the spray device valve to initiate a spray device cycle, running the spray device cycle to wash the lower chamber with fluid, and closing the spray device valve after the spray device cycle completes. The method includes opening a pressure valve to provide PCA to the receiving container.

FLUID PURGING SYSTEM

A method for reducing emissions from a vessel includes isolating the vessel from a downstream fluid flow line, purging a fluid from the vessel by injecting purging media into the vessel to push the fluid through a check valve of a vent tubing and into the downstream fluid flow line, and draining the purging media from the vessel. A first end of the vent tubing is coupled to the housing of the vessel, and a second end of the vent tubing is coupled to the downstream fluid flow line. Further, the vent tubing includes a check valve disposed between the first end and the second end, and the check valve is configured to allow fluid to flow from the housing to the downstream fluid flow line.

Inflatable device with guiding mechanism for effective engine cleaning

An inflatable device equipped with a guiding mechanism and methods of installing the inflatable device to form a temporary barrier within a gas turbine engine are provided. In one aspect, an inflatable device includes a backbone and an inflatable bladder connected thereto. The backbone is formed of a flexible and inextensible material. The inflatable bladder is formed of an expandable material. To install the inflatable device within an annular chamber of a gas turbine engine, the backbone is inserted into a first access port of the engine and is moved circumferentially around the annulus of the chamber. The backbone is retrieved through a second access port. The inflatable bladder is moved into position within the chamber by pushing the backbone into the first access port and/or pulling the backbone out of the second access port. When positioned in place, the inflatable bladder is inflated to form an annular seal.

METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF FOULING FROM A PIPELINE

A method for removing fouling from a pipeline includes determining the location of fouling in the pipeline. Once determined, the method further includes installing a hot tap in the pipeline. A flex conduit is inserted into the pipeline through the hot tap and a treatment fluid is flowed into the pipeline through the conduit. The treatment fluid is used to remove the fouling from the pipeline. Once the fouling is sufficiently removed, the flexible conduit is removed from the pipeline.

A pipe cleaning assembly has a connection fixture having a body defining a cavity. A first aperture, opposing second aperture coaxially aligned with the first aperture, first auxiliary aperture, and opposing second auxiliary aperture coaxially aligned with the first auxiliary aperture are in fluid communication with the cavity. A first connection flange extends from and surrounding the first aperture and a second connection flange extends from and surrounding the second aperture. A rotatable bonnet inserted through the second auxiliary aperture and includes a cylindrical wall having an open first end, an end wall at a second end, and a plurality of openings through the wall. An actuator is mounted to the bonnet with an actuator shaft extending through an opening in the end wall. A valve plug is secured to the actuator shaft and positioned within the bonnet.

A valve has a plurality of material inlet ports, a flushing inlet port, and an outlet port each connected to a respective supply of one of last two different liquid materials. A movable valve body in the valve has a passage and is shiftable between a plurality of positions in each of which a respective one of the inlet ports is connected to the outlet port via the passage. A controller moves the valve body between the positions such that, after each time the valve body is in a position connecting one of the material inlet ports to the outlet port and material has passed through the passage, the valve body is moved into a position connecting the passage with the flushing inlet port for flushing out the passage.
