MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PRESS-FORMED ARTICLE, PRESS-FORMED ARTICLE, AND PRESS FORMING APPARATUS
A manufacturing method of a press-formed article includes arranging a member to be pressed between first and second dies, and relatively moving the first and second dies so as to approach each other, thereby press forming to a portion to be pressed so that a height of the portion to be pressed decreases. In the press forming step, while first bent portions in a pair each bent in a protruded shape toward the second die on the portion to be pressed are held by groove-shaped holding portions in a pair separated from each other on the second die, a second bent portion bent in a protruded shape from a position between the first bent portions toward the first die on the portion to be pressed is pressed and deformed by a pressing portion of the first die.

Method for cold deformation of an austenitic steel

Cold deformation is carried out by cold rolling at least one surface of the steel with forming degree (Φ) of 5≤Φ≤60% in order to achieve in the steel at least two consecutive areas with different mechanical values in thickness, yield strength (R.sub.p0.2), tensile strength (Rm) and elongation, having a ratio (r) between the ultimate load ratio (ΔF) and the thickness ratio (Δt) of 1.0>r>2.0, and in which the areas are mechanically connected to each other by a transition area having a thickness that is variable from the thickness of the first area in the deformation direction to the thickness of the second area in the deformation direction.
HOT-STAMPED ARTICLE USING A TAILOR WELDED BLANK METHOD AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A hot-stamped article and method of manufacturing same use a tailor welded blank (TWB) method capable of controlling the microstructure of a weld portion to prevent fracture of the weld portion. The hot-stamped article is manufactured by welding a first sheet and a second sheet made of different kinds of materials to each other using the TWB method and hot-stamping a welded sheet. The first sheet and the second sheet have different upper austenite transformation temperatures (A3 temperatures), the first sheet and the second sheet are welded to each other via a weld portion, each of the first sheet and the weld portion has a composite structure comprising ferrite, bainite, and martensite, and the second sheet has a martensite structure.
Tool and shell using induction heating
A component forming tool for forming a component from a blank includes a die forming shell for forming the component from the blank. A first shell portion of the die forming shell is located on a first set of support elements and a second shell portion is located on a second set of support elements. The tool includes at least one induction heating coil for induction heating of a workpiece disposed within a cavity formed by the first and second shell portions. The first set of support elements include multi-material support elements having at least two layers of different materials and the second set of support elements include multi-material support elements having at least two layers of different materials.
Method for producing a motor vehicle component with at least two regions of different strengths
A method for producing a motor vehicle component with at least two regions of different strengths and a protective layer, consisting of the following process steps: —providing precoated blanks made of a steel alloy, which can be hardened, —homogeneously heating to a heating temperature, which is at least greater than or equal to the AC1 temperature, preferably greater than or equal to the AC3 temperature, —holding the heating temperature, so that the precoating alloys with the blank, —homogeneously intercooling the alloyed blank to an intercooling temperature between 450 deg. C. and 700 deg. C., partially heating the blank from the intercooling temperature to at least the AC3 temperature in regions of the first type and holding regions of the second type at substantially intercooling temperature, —hot forming and press hardening the partially tempered blank so as to form the motor vehicle component, wherein a tensile strength of greater than 1400 MPa is produced in regions of the first type, a tensile strength of less than 1050 MPa is produced in regions of the second type, and a transition region is produced between said regions.

Method for manufacturing a semifinished product or a component made of metal and fiber composite
A method for manufacturing a semifinished product or component is disclosed in which a metal support embodied as a split strip is covered with at least one prepreg containing a thermally cross-linkable thermosetting matrix with endless fibers, the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg is pre-cross-linked by means of heating, and the metal support covered with the pre-cross-linked prepreg is formed into a semifinished product or component by means of roll forming. In order to enable plastic deformation in fiber-reinforced regions of the metal support, it is proposed that during the pre-cross-linking of the thermosetting matrix of the prepreg, its matrix is transferred into a viscosity state that is higher than its minimum viscosity and prior to reaching its gel point, the prepreg is formed together with the metal support.
Cutting method using a stamping press
A cutting method using a stamping press according to the present disclosure is a method to cut a workpiece that is configured from a first metal sheet and a second metal sheet joined at a weld portion and that has a heat-affected zone around the weld portion, in which the workpiece is cut using a punch. The punch includes a flat portion and a projecting portion projected more toward the workpiece than a flat portion of the punch. The workpiece is positioned with respect to the punch at a position such that the projecting portion starts cutting at least at one out of the heat-affected zone or the weld portion before the flat portion cuts the workpiece. The workpiece is then cut by moving the punch and a die relative to each other in this state of positioning so as to shear across the weld portion on the workpiece.
