Tool holder for lathe and lathe provided with the tool holder
A tool holder for a lathe having a spindle permits improved arrangement of tools on a turret to maximize the allowable workpiece outer diameter for a given tool. A Z-axis feed mechanism moves the spindle and the turret relative to each other in a Z-axis direction along a center axis of the spindle, while an X-axis feed mechanism moves the spindle and the turret relative to each other in an X-axis direction orthogonal to the Z-axis direction. A plurality of tool holders is attached to the turret, each having a tool holding part. At least one of the tool holders holds the tool at a holding position such that, when indexed to a machining position by rotation of the turret, a cutting-edge reference point of the tool is offset with respect to an X-Z plane including a center axis of the turret.
DEVICE FOR DETACHING AT LEAST ONE BURR FROM AN OPENING OF AT LEAST ONE TRANSVERSE BORE-HOLE OF A WORKPIECE, DRILLING STATION HAVING THE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETACHING THE AT LEAST ONE BURR USING THE DRILLING STATION
A device for detaching a burr from an opening of a transverse borehole of a workpiece includes an elongate shank for positioning in a longitudinal borehole of the workpiece and a fillet to avoid the elongate shank colliding with a drill for drilling the transverse borehole. In an example embodiment, the device has an aperture to further avoid the elongate shank colliding with the drill. In an example embodiment, the elongate shank has a cutting section with a cutting edge for detaching the burr from the opening of the transverse borehole.
Anti-Skive Drill Bit
An anti-skive drill bit including a body having a proximal end, a distal end, a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal and distal ends, and a flute extending longitudinally along the body. The distal end includes a distally facing region and a first channel defining a first channel surface. The distally facing region includes a relief surface having a first most-distal point at one of an intersection of an outer diameter of the body and a leading edge of the first flute, and an intersection of the outer diameter of the body and the first channel surface. The distally facing region has a relief surface angle between the relief surface and an outer diameter surface of the body at the first most-distal point of less than 90 degrees. The channel has a proximal end intersecting the first flute, and a distal end intersecting the relief surface.
Tool Holder for Lathe and Lathe Provided with the Tool Holder
A lathe includes a spindle, a turret, a Z-axis feed mechanism moving the spindle and the turret relative to each other in a Z-axis direction along a center axis of the spindle, an X-axis feed mechanism moving the spindle and the turret relative to each other in an X-axis direction orthogonal to the Z-axis direction, and a plurality of tool holders each having a tool holding part holding a tool, and attached to the turret. The tool holding part of at least one of the tool holders holds the tool at a holding position thereon set at a position such that, when the held tool is indexed to a machining position by rotation of the turret, a cutting-edge reference point of the held tool is offset to one side with respect to an X-Z plane including a center axis of the turret.
Cutting tip
The invention concerns a cutting tip (6) comprising: a core (10) that extends axially; and at least a first branch (12) and a second branch (14) that extend radially from the core (10), each comprising: a proximal portion (12a, 14a) connected to the core (10), a distal portion (12b, 14b), and a central portion (12c, 14c) connecting the proximal portion (12a, 14a) and the distal portion (12b, 14b); and a cutting edge (12d, 14d) extending at least along the distal portion (12b, 14b) and the central portion (12c, 14c); in which: the distal portion (12b) of the first branch (12) is arranged radially forward relative to the central portion (12c) of the first branch (12); and the central portion (14c) of the second branch (14) is arranged radially forward relative to the distal portion (14b) of the second branch (14).
Tubular parts and embeddable electrical boxes
The invention relates to a tubular part, an embeddable electrical box and kits formed by both. The tubular part is characterized by a rib that runs helically along its external surface, and by internal support means. The electrical box comprises the tubular part and a cup which fits together with the tubular part and which has break points and external projections. The kits facilitate the assembly of the tubular part and of the electrical box.
Drill bit with an exchangeable cutting portion
A drill bit which is rotatable about a drilling axis is disclosed. The drill bit has a cutting section having one or more cutting segments and a first plug-connecting element and a drill shaft section having a second plug-connecting element. The first plug-connecting element and the second plug-connecting element form a plug connection and the first plug-connecting element and the second plug-connecting element are connectable by a pin connection.

The drill bit has a drill shaft section having a first plug-connecting element and a cutting section having a second plug-connecting element. The first plug-connecting element and the second plug-connecting element form a plug connection. The cutting section includes a plurality of cutting subsections each having a ring subsection and at least one cutting segment, wherein each ring subsection together with the first plug-connecting element forms the plug connection and is connectable to the first plug-connecting element by a pin connection.
Drill and method for manufacturing cut workpieces using same
A drill includes a cutting section having a cylindrical shape and configured to be rotated about a rotation axis. The cutting section includes a first cutting section and a second cutting section, at a front end portion thereof, a first flute continuous with the first cutting section and extending helically around the rotation axis toward a rear end of the cutting section, and a second flute continuous with the second cutting section and extending helically around the rotation axis toward the rear end of the cutting section. The first cutting section includes a first inner cutting edge and a first outer cutting edge positioned closer to the outer peripheral surface than the first inner cutting edge and gradually inclined to the rear end of the cutting section toward the outer peripheral surface. The first inner cutting edge is positioned closer to the rear end of the cutting section than the inner end of the first outer cutting edge.
