Tooling assemblies for lathe machines, CNC threading lathes, and methods of milling threads in tubular workpieces
A tooling assembly for a lathe machine includes a tool platform configured to be mounted on the lathe machine, a milling tool holder fixedly secured to the tool platform and workable to releasably secure a thread milling tool therein, and a milling tool drive. The milling tool drive is operatively connected to the milling tool holder and operable to rotate the milling tool holder independently of a work holder to mill threads on the workpiece when a pipe thread milling tool is secured in the milling tool holder. Computer numerical control threading lathes and methods of milling threads in tubular workpieces are also described.
MACHINING METHOD FOR WORKPIECE
Provided is a machining method for a workpiece that is rotated in a machine tool having a main spindle, in which modification of the machine tool is not necessary when machining the workpiece. The machining method for the workpiece includes: a first mounting step in which a workpiece holder that is holding the workpiece is mounted onto the main spindle of the machine tool; and a first machining step in which the main spindle is rotated and the workpiece is machined by a first tool installed on a table of the machine tool.
Tool holder device for broaching and slotting
The tool holder device for broaching and slotting, comprising: one main frame associated with one machine adapted to machine one workpiece; one working assembly associated with the main frame and comprising one supporting bar movable longitudinally along a first axis and a guiding mechanism for the supporting bar movable longitudinally along the first axis; one tool associated with the supporting bar and adapted to machine the workpiece; angular adjustment mechanism for adjusting the supporting bar, interposed between the main frame and the guiding mechanism and adapted to rotate the supporting bar around a second axis substantially orthogonal with respect to the first axis; and straight adjustment mechanism for adjusting the tool with respect to the supporting bar, interposed between the tool and the supporting bar, the straight adjustment mechanism being adapted to adjust the position of the tool along the second axis.
Tool holder for lathe and lathe provided with the tool holder
A tool holder for a lathe having a spindle permits improved arrangement of tools on a turret to maximize the allowable workpiece outer diameter for a given tool. A Z-axis feed mechanism moves the spindle and the turret relative to each other in a Z-axis direction along a center axis of the spindle, while an X-axis feed mechanism moves the spindle and the turret relative to each other in an X-axis direction orthogonal to the Z-axis direction. A plurality of tool holders is attached to the turret, each having a tool holding part. At least one of the tool holders holds the tool at a holding position such that, when indexed to a machining position by rotation of the turret, a cutting-edge reference point of the tool is offset with respect to an X-Z plane including a center axis of the turret.
Machining system
A machining system with a configuration in which working machines, including a machine tool, are configured to be disposed in a line, and in which multiple working machines perform operations on one work in order, is provided. The machining system includes: a base; and multiple working machine modules which are mounted on the base and are arranged in an arrangement direction, and has a configuration in which each of the multiple working machine modules is capable of being drawn out from the base along a track extending in an intersecting direction intersecting with the arrangement direction.
Turret tool rest and machine tool
A turret tool rest includes a main shaft, a turret turning shaft, a turret, a joint base, a mill housing connection shaft, and an engagement member. The main shaft rotates a tool. A part of the main shaft is provided in the turret turning shaft. The turret turning shaft has a first coupling hole. The turret is connected to the turret turning shaft via which the turret is rotated. The joint base has a second coupling hole. The mill housing connection shaft is connected to the joint base. The mill housing connection shaft is provided between the main shaft and the turret turning shaft. Each of the mill housing connection shaft, the joint base, the part of the main shaft, and the turret turning shaft are disposed to rotate around a rotation axis of the turret. The engagement member moves in the first coupling hole and the second coupling hole.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes: a turret configured to hold a tool through a clamp mechanism; a workpiece main spindle device configured to rotatably hold a workpiece; a switching unit configured to change a clamp state of the clamp mechanism by using rotation torque of the workpiece main spindle device; and an in-machine robot configured to move the switching unit. The clamp mechanism includes a torque input hole to which rotation torque is applied to change the clamp state. The switching unit includes an input shaft coupled with the workpiece main spindle device, an output shaft coupled with the torque input hole of the clamp mechanism and configured to output torque to the torque input hole, and a transmission mechanism configured to transfer, to the output shaft, the rotation torque of the workpiece main spindle device input through the input shaft.
LATHE WITH TOOL UNIT MOUNTED THERETO
A technology capable of improving machining performance of a lathe is provided. A first attaching position and a second attaching position are adjacent to each other in a tool unit attaching direction perpendicular to a spindle axis direction. A second tool unit attached to the second attaching position is of a shape avoiding an area that a spindle possibly occupies relatively with respect to a first tool unit working on the workpiece. When a rotary tool unit is attached to one of the first attaching position and the second attaching position, a machining point of the second tool unit working on the workpiece is deviated to the side of the spindle in the spindle axis direction from the rotational center of the rotary tool unit across the turret surface.
