JOINING STRUCTURE
A joining structure includes a first member, a second member of a material different from that of the first member, and a separation mechanism provided between the first member and the second member and that separates the first member and the second member from each other, wherein a resin is filled into the space between the edge of at least one member among the first member and the second member, and the other member.
Apparatus and method for making internally finned pressure vessel
An apparatus for fabricating an internally finned pressure vessel includes a plurality of positioning discs, each of the positioning discs defining a plurality of circumferentially spaced slots extending radially into the positioning disc from a perimeter thereof, and one or more rods extending through the plurality of positioning discs, the plurality of positioning discs being held in axial alignment by the one or more rods. A method of fabricating the internally finned pressure vessel includes providing the apparatus, loading a plurality of fins into the slots of the positioning discs, inserting the apparatus containing the plurality of fins into a pressure vessel, attaching the plurality of fins to the pressure vessel by a brazing process, and removing the apparatus from the pressure vessel.
Air cooled condenser and related methods
A vertical bundle air-cooled heat exchanger, a finned tube assembly for an air cooled condenser and method for forming the same, and a system for removing thermal energy generated by radioactive materials. In one aspect, an air cooled condenser sized for industrial and commercial application includes an inlet steam distribution header for conveying steam, a condensate outlet header for conveying condensate, an array of tube bundles each having a plurality of finned tube assemblies having a bare steel tube with an exposed outer surface and a set of aluminum fins brazed directly onto the tube by a brazing filler metal. The steel tubes may be spaced apart by the aluminum fins and have an inlet end fluidly coupled to the inlet steam distribution header and an outlet end fluidly coupled to the outlet header. A forced draft fan may be arranged to blow air through the tube bundles.
FINNED TUBE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A finned tube having a tube main body, on the outside of which, in particular separate or integral, fins are arranged, preferably circumferentially, wherein the fins and/or the tube main body are of a multi-layer material.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WELDING A WATERWALL PANEL
A waterwall panel welding apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an inlet assembly, a welding assembly, an outlet assembly, and a heating system. The inlet assembly is for receiving a plurality of tubes. The welding assembly is for receiving the tubes from the inlet assembly and for allowing the tubes to be welded together to form a waterwall panel. The outlet assembly is for receiving the waterwall panel from the welding assembly. The heating system heats the tubes and operates via magnetic induction.
Carbon Fiber Radiator Fin System
Systems and methods of manufacture of radiator fins. In one embodiment, a radiator fin made of carbon fiber is provided. In one aspect, the radiator fin is made of carbon fibers forming an interlaced pattern. In another aspect, the interlaced carbon fiber radiator fin is attached directly to a heat pipe, the heat pipe connected to a heat source.
Device and Method for Welding Cylindrical Sections of a Casing
A device for welding together cylindrical sections of a casing. The device comprises a clamping ring configured to surround and attach to a section of the casing and a robot provided with a welding gun and at least one joint, wherein the robot is movably attached to the clamping ring by cooperating means. A method for welding cylindrical sections of a casing by using such a device includes the steps of a) positioning and clamping the clamping ring at the correct position, b) moving the robot along the clamping ring to the correct position for welding, c) welding the sections to each other by the welding gun of the robot, and d) releasing the clamping ring.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FINNED TUBES
A method for producing ribbed pipes, in which a first pipe base body is ribbed on its outer side, in particular helically, with a first band, to which end the first band is secured to the first pipe base body using a first laser beam. While the first band is being secured to the first pipe base body using the first laser beam, a second pipe base body is ribbed on its outer side with a second band, to which end the second band is secured to the second pipe base body using a second laser beam, wherein the first and second laser beams come from the same laser source.
Auger assembly for harvesting machine
An auger assembly for transporting material for an agricultural work vehicle formed by an auger and a housing arrangement having an interior that houses the auger such that rotation of the auger within the housing arrangement is configured to transport the material through the housing arrangement. The housing arrangement includes a series of tube portions including at least a first and a second tube portion, each respective tube portion of the series of tube portions having a first and second end, an inner and outer surface, and a thickness between the inner and outer surfaces; and at least one mounting flange structure, including a first mounting flange structure secured to the outer surface of the first tube portion by a first laser weld extending from the inner surface of the first tube portion, through the thickness of the first tube portion, and into the first mounting flange structure.
