Each of the chain links can comprise a sterling silver wire, the sterling silver wire comprising a first end and a second end. Each of the first end and the second end of each of the plurality of chain links can be joined together through a weld. Each of the plurality of chain links can comprise at least 92.5% by weight silver and at least 6.5% by weight tin.

Spatter scattering prevention apparatus and flash butt welder including the same

Provided is a spatter scattering prevention apparatus that eliminates the necessity to, for example, remove scattered spatters and thus makes it possible to facilitate maintenance work, and also provided is a flash butt welder including the spatter scattering prevention apparatus. The spatter scattering prevention apparatus 1 according to the present invention is characterized by being configured to form a water screen in midair in the vicinity of a welding spot, at which welding is performed, wherein the water screen is for preventing spatters, generated during the welding, from scattering. The spatter scattering prevention apparatus is also characterized by being configured to form the water screen on one side in a lateral direction of the welding spot and form the water screen on the other side, laterally opposite to the one side, of the welding spot.

METAL JOINTED BODY, SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, WAVE GUIDE TUBE, AND METHOD FOR JOINING MEMBERS TO BE JOINED

Provided is a metal jointed body, joined by solid-phase joining in the atmosphere, in which no protrusion of molten joining material occurs, that improves dimensional stability. A metal jointed body is formed by (A) making Ag films of two metal laminated bodies opposed to each other, the metal jointed body being configured by sequentially laminating a Zn film and an Ag film on an Al substrate serving as a member to be joined, and (B) bringing the Ag films into contact with each other, then (C) heating is performed while pressurizing, and closely adhering and solid-phase joining the Ag films to each other. The completed metal jointed body is a portion where Al—Ag alloy layers are provided on both sides of an Ag—Zn—Al alloy layer to join the Al substrates to each other.

METHOD FOR BRAZING A METAL PART ONTO A ZIRCONIA COMPONENT, AND BRAZED IMPLANTABLE DEVICE
20170326664 · 2017-11-16 · ·

A method for brazing a metal part onto a surface of a zirconia component. The method involves the steps of altering the surface state of the component to permit the attachment of a first metallization layer, cleaning the component to eliminate the impurities from its surface, depositing a first metallization layer, having mainly titanium, on the surface of the component, depositing a second metallization layer, having mainly niobium, on the first metallization layer, applying the part against the second metallization layer, depositing a gold brazing metal on the part and the second metallization layer, cooling the brazed area in a temperature-controlled manner, and stress-relieving heat treatment being performed under load on the metal part before brazing.

MACHINE COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A method of producing an endless metal ring by butting and welding ends of a steel plate includes a welding process in which, while the ends of the steel plate are heated at a temperature lower than a melting temperature, the ends are pressed against each other and welded by butt welding; and a heat treatment process in which heating is performed at an austenite transformation temperature or lower after the welding process.

METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A RING INSIDE A TUBULAR COMPONENT USING MAGNETIC PULSES
20200391321 · 2020-12-17 ·

A method for assembling a ring inside a tubular component by magnetic pulse welding. The thickness of the wall of the tubular component is reduced to form a trapezoidal recess on the periphery of a longitudinal portion of the tubular component. A ring is positioned around the tubular component facing the recess. The ring has a shape that compliments that of the recess. The assembly made up of tubular component and ring is positioned in an opening of a coil such that the ring is positioned facing the coil. The assembly is welded using magnetic pulses generated by the coil.

Device for fabricating annular pieces by selectively melting powder, the device including a powder wiper

A device fabricates annular pieces by selectively melting powder. The device includes an inner annular wall and an outer annular wall that are concentric and that define an annular powder deposition zone, and a powder dispenser movable in rotation about an axis of the inner and outer annular walls. The powder dispenser includes a wiper extending between the inner annular wall and the outer annular wall and forming an angle with the radial direction of the inner and outer annular walls.

For producing a welded ring, a band of a length corresponding to the circumference of the ring is bent into a ring and its two ends are welded together. The band ends to be welded together have an offset in the circumferential direction of the ring, the offset lying in the plane of the band. The welding is performed from both lateral edges of the ring, from the outside to the inside up to the offset. Welding having an overall improved welding quality and a higher tensile strength is thus obtained.
