SPATTER SCATTERING PREVENTION APPARATUS AND FLASH BUTT WELDER INCLUDING THE SAME

Provided is a spatter scattering prevention apparatus that eliminates the necessity to, for example, remove scattered spatters and thus makes it possible to facilitate maintenance work, and also provided is a flash butt welder including the spatter scattering prevention apparatus.

The spatter scattering prevention apparatus 1 according to the present invention is characterized by being configured to form a water screen in midair in the vicinity of a welding spot, at which welding is performed, wherein the water screen is for preventing spatters, generated during the welding, from scattering.

The spatter scattering prevention apparatus is also characterized by being configured to form the water screen on one side in a lateral direction of the welding spot and form the water screen on the other side, laterally opposite to the one side, of the welding spot.

A waterproof design and method of manufacturing of a smart ring, in accordance with one implementation, includes a band having at least an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface of the band includes features configured to support electronic components. The waterproofing design and method of manufacturing includes a laser etching a portion of the inner surface and subsequent to the laser etching of the portion, applying an epoxy over the electronic components and over the laser etched portion of the inner surface. Prior to the laser etching, forming an edge rib on the portion of the inner surface, wherein the laser etching is subsequently on the edge rib. Furthermore, the laser etched portion includes an increased contact area for bonding with the epoxy for the waterproof design.

In each sequence of welding of a chain link, the conveying wheel is displaced relative to a welding device transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the chain and then occupies a welding position in which a chain link to be welded, as chain link that is vertical in the conveying wheel, faces the welding device and the open ends thereof are welded. This sequence is repeated, allowing that chain links of the two chain strands are alternately welded in the chain wheel.
