The bit has a locked state wherein the bit is engaged on the bit holder and is distanced from the bit support, and a released state wherein the bit is distanced from the bit holder and rests on the bit support.
SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING A WORKPIECE
A system (40) is provided for processing a workpiece. The system (40) includes a support surface (48) for supporting a workpiece and includes an automatic tool changer (64) having a first tool storage bay (80) for removably storing a drill tool therein and having a second tool storage bay (80) for removably storing a plasma torch tool therein. The system (40) includes at least one drill spindle (60) movable with respect to a surface of a workpiece. The drill spindle (60) and the automatic tool changer (64) are movable relative to one another and configured to transfer between them a drill tool stored in the first tool storage bay (80) and a plasma torch tool stored in the second tool storage bay (80).
Machining station
A machining station especially arranged to carry out deep drill and milling operations is disclosed. The machining station now proposed presents a specific structural arrangement, enables the incorporation, contrary to already existing stations, of an axis dedicated to deep drilling, favoring the use of deep drill tools under ideal conditions, without size restriction. Accordingly, the station is comprised of an operating base, on which there lays an operating module and an arrangement module. This new arrangement for the machining station is therefore more versatile and adaptable to the specificities programmed for each part to be machined.
Automatic attachment changer and boring machine having same
Disclosed are an automatic attachment changer and a boring machine having the same. The automatic attachment changer includes a stacker in which a plurality of attachments is stacked in a height direction by a unit of housing cell having a length larger than the attachments such that the attachment is individually arranged in each housing cell horizontally with respect to a bottom of the stacker, a stacker carrier having a carrier body secured to the stacker, a body transfer transferring the carrier body and a carrier power driving the body transfer, and an attachment changer controlling the stacker and the stacker carrier such that a select attachment is selected among the attachments and the select attachment is combined to a spindle assembly. The attachment is changed in the boring machine with high reliability and correctness.
TOOL CHANGING DEVICE, MACHINE TOOL AND METHOD FOR CHANGING A TOOL
A tool changing device for a machine tool comprises a tool magazine, a transfer device and a linear drive for the tool magazine. The tool magazine comprises a magazine axis, wherein the tool magazine is rotatable about the magazine axis by a rotary drive, and a plurality of holding locations for tools that have a support shaft and a receiving groove. At least some of the holding locations are arranged offset relative to one another along the magazine axis, and at least some of the holding locations are arranged offset relative to one another about the magazine axis. The holding locations are configured to hold the tools at the receiving groove. The transfer device comprises a transfer carriage, wherein the transfer device is movable between a first transfer position in relation to the tool magazine and a second transfer position to transfer tools between the tool magazine and a tool holder of the machine tool. The linear drive is configured to move the tool magazine along the magazine axis relative to the transfer device to provide, together with the rotary drive, a selected holding location in the first transfer position.
TOOL CHANGER, MACHINE TOOL, AND METHOD FOR CHANGING TOOL
A tool changer includes at least one tool changer unit, wherein the at least one tool changer unit includes: a tool holder that receives and holds a tool; a base member that supports the tool holder so that the tool holder can be slid along a longitudinal direction of the tool; and a moving mechanism that slides the tool holder relative to the base member.
MACHINING SYSTEM
A machining system including a base; multiple work modules arranged in an arrangement direction on the base, at least one of the multiple work modules being a processing module, which processes a work with a tool, provided with a main shaft head including a main shaft on which a tool is attached and a main shaft rotating device that rotates the main shaft; a head raising and lowering device that moves the main shaft head in a vertical direction; a head moving device that moves the main shaft head in a horizontal plane by moving it in two perpendicular directions; and a work table that holds a work; the processing module being configured so as to be pulled from the base along a path extending in an intersecting direction, which is a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction.
MACHINING CENTER
A machining center including a machine main body, an upper section of which supports a head moving device and a head raising and lowering device, configured such that tool magazine 120 is stored inside the machine main body, and with a magazine moving device configured to move tool magazine 120 such that, during tool exchange, tool magazine 120 is advanced to protrude from a side of the machine main body, so that, from the multiple tool holders, the tool holder used for exchange is positioned inside the movement range of the main shaft by the head moving device, and wherein the entire tool magazine 120 is able to be moved beyond the movement range of the tool magazine by the magazine moving device to a position outside of the machine main body and detached from the machine main body.
Multi-tool part cleaning machine
A method of operating a part cleaning machine includes removably attaching a part to a part holder. A selected first one of a plurality of tools is transferred from a tool holder to a tool chuck to perform a desired cleaning operation. The selected first one of the tools is positioned in a pre-defined tool cleaning position by moving a chuck holder along an axis on a tool positioning plane. The part is positioned in a pre-defined part cleaning position by at least one of moving a cradle along an X axis, rotating the cradle about a first cradle axis, or rotating the part holder about a second cradle axis. The desired cleaning operation is performed on the part with the selected first one of the tools, with the part in the pre-defined part cleaning position and the selected first one of the tools in the pre-defined tool cleaning position.
