Chain-type tool magazine
A chain-type tool magazine includes a main body, a track, a chain, and a driving mechanism. The track is coupled to the mounting surface of the main body and provides a running route which includes a physical support segment and at least one vacant running segment. The chain is formed by a plurality of tool chains connected in series and is driven by the driving mechanism to run around the running route. When each of the tool chains of the chain passes through the physical support segment, each of the tool chains is in contact with the physical support segment. When each of the tool chains of the chain passes through the vacant running segment, each of the tool chains is not in contact with the track. With a discontinuous broken-track type design of the track, the cost can be reduced.
Machining system for aircraft structural components
The disclosure relates to a processing installation for aircraft structural components having a processing station comprising a clamping frame for receiving the structural component, wherein the clamping frame extends along a station longitudinal axis which extends in a longitudinal direction and a processing unit which has an upper tool unit having an upper tool and a lower tool unit, wherein the processing installation has a processing region which is formed by a laterally delimited, first spatial portion in which the clamping frame and the processing unit are arranged during processing, wherein the processing installation has a service region for carrying out service operations, wherein the first spatial portion is separated from the second spatial portion in a transverse direction, wherein a service platform is arranged in the service region and can be positioned in a service plane which is orthogonal to the vertical direction.

Dust collection for cutting machine
A dust collection assembly for a computer numerical control (CNC) cutting machine includes an adapter configured to couple to an arm of the CNC cutting machine and a head telescopically coupled to the adapter by a plurality of nested members. The CNC cutting machine includes the arm supporting a spindle and a tool holder coupled for co-rotation with the spindle. Each of the plurality of nested members are collapsible relative to each other. The head is movable between an extended position in which the nested members are configured to surround the tool holder and a tool bit, and a retracted position in which at least some of the nested members are telescopically received in the adapter. The head defines an inlet fluidly connected to the plurality of nested members when the head is at least in the extended position. The inlet is configured to fluidly connect to a vacuum.
Tool storage pod system
An example pod for tool storage comprises: an elongated body; a cavity formed within the elongated body, wherein the cavity has a geometric shape that matches a shape of a tool body of a tool to be stored in the pod; an opening in the elongated body, wherein the opening has a respective geometric shape that matches a shape of a cutting end of the tool; at least one male feature formed on an exterior surface of the elongated body to facilitate coupling the pod to another pod; and at least one female feature formed on the exterior surface of the elongated body facilitate coupling the pod to another pod.
SYSTEM FOR FIXING A TOOLING BIT TO A TOOL AND CORRESPONDING FIXING METHOD
A system for fixing a tooling bit to a tool having an axis of rotation for working the bit. The system includes: a bit box having a plurality of movable bit supports, each carrying a bit, each bit having a first working end and a second end; a bit holder having a first end securable to one end of the tool and a second end securable to the second end of each of the bits; and a reversible element for securing the bit to the bit holder. The bit has a locked state wherein the bit is engaged on the bit holder and is distanced from the bit support, and a released state wherein the bit is distanced from the bit holder and rests on the bit support.
CLAMPING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR HANDLING A WORKPIECE
A clamping device and a method for handling a workpiece or a unit comprising a workpiece and a workpiece holder. An automatic workpiece exchange is enabled by using a tool spindle. For this a spindle adapter is present that can be releasably connected with the workpiece holder. By means of the spindle adapter, the unit comprising the workpiece and the workpiece holder can be transported. The clamping device can be switched between a release condition and a clamping condition by means of a movement of an operating element. This movement can be carried out by means of the tool spindle, in that the tool spindle engages the operating element directly or indirectly by means of the spindle adapter or an operating tool.
Operating key for stationary and driven tool holders
The invention relates to a device and method for a tool change in a driven or stationary tool holder using at least one industrial robot. A drive device for clamping and releasing the tool in a tool holding fixture of the tool holder prevents incorrect operation and can be operated manually or by the handling robot and can be actively locked to the tool holder.

Conveyance device
A tool magazine as a conveyance device includes a first conveyance unit that conveys a plurality of tools along a first route, a second conveyance unit that conveys a plurality of tools along a second route, and a cover body. A first opening used to attach and detach the tool in a first section of first route and a second opening used to attach and detach the tool a third section of second route are provided in cover body. A second section of first route is located between first section of first route and second conveyance unit in a direction in which first conveyance unit and second conveyance unit are arranged. A fourth section of second route is located between third section of second route and first conveyance unit in the direction in which first conveyance unit and second conveyance unit are arranged.
