Electric power tool having a rotating tool
An electric power tool having a rotating tool. The electric tool is characterized in that a direction of rotation of the tool on the electric power tool can be set in dependence on an operating state of the electric power tool. The automatic settability of the direction of rotation of the electric tool is associated with the advantage that no gearbox for changing the direction of rotation, as in an internal combustion engine, is required. In addition, the user-friendliness of the electric power tool for the user can be significantly improved, since the user practically no longer has to worry about setting a “correct” direction of rotation of the tool. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a method for operating an electric power tool having a rotating tool, wherein the direction of rotation of the tool on the electric power tool is set in particular in dependence on whether or not a suction device is connected to the electric power tool.

A power tool having a power tool housing, a motor, a tool moved relative to the housing by the motor, a fan rotated by the motor such that a fluid flow with debris generated by tool is moved into the fluid inlet by the fan and through the discharge outlet, and a filter that is removably attached to the power tool housing. The power tool housing includes a fluid inlet and a discharge outlet. The filter includes a filter media for separating the debris from the flow of fluid. The filter media defines a collection container for storing the debris. The filter also includes an opening through which the flow of fluid with the debris enters the collection container, and a valve that is moveable between a closed position, in which the opening is closed, and an open position, in which the opening is open. The valve includes a duckbill check valve.

Abrasive article
An abrasive article, in particular a coated abrasive disc, includes a plurality of holes which are arranged in a hole pattern. The density of holes decreases from an inner region of the hole pattern to an outer region of the hole pattern. At least one hole in the hole pattern is designed as an elongated hole.
Filter arrangement for filtering dust-laden air generated by a hand- guided power tool and power tool arrangement
The invention refers to a filter arrangement for filtering dust-laden air (7) generated by a hand-guided power tool (1), in particular a sander or a grinder, during operation of the power tool (1). The filter arrangement comprises a filter cartridge (13) having a hollow casing (14), a filter element (22) located inside the casing (14), an air inlet port (15) located downstream in respect to an airflow (8) through the filter cartridge (13) and in respect to the filter element (22) and adapted to be pneumatically connected to the power tool (1) in order to allow the dust-laden air (7) generated by the power tool (1) to flow into the casing (14), and an air outlet port (20) located upstream in respect to the airflow (8) through the filter cartridge (13) and in respect to the filter element (22), the air outlet port (20) adapted to allow filtered air (9) leave the filter cartridge (13). It is suggested that the filter arrangement comprises an active airflow generating device (30) with a fan (40) comprising a plurality of blades (44) and driven by an electric motor (38) separate from an electric motor of the power tool (1), the airflow generating device (30) being in pneumatic connection with the air inlet port (15) of the filter cartridge (13) or with the air outlet port (20) of the filter cartridge (13) in order to generate or support the airflow (8) through the filter cartridge (13).
MOBILE CART WITH HIGH-POWER SLURRY VACUUM AND CONTAINMENT
A high-power slurry vacuum cart is well suited to collect and contain any slurry or wet residue produced through concrete and other surface processing operations. A multi-horsepower propane engine and propane tank are mounted on a mobile frame, along with a suction pump powered by the propane engine. A slurry containment vessel mounted on the frame has an input in communication with a squeegee and an output coupled to the suction pump. The squeegee may be adapted for floor contact to collect slurry for transfer to the slurry containment tank. The suction pump is directly coupled to the propane engine through a universal joint, thereby obviating the use of belts, chains or pulleys. The output of the pump may optionally be used as an air blower for surface drying, or the like, as well as use as an air blower to assist in emptying the slurry containment tank.
METALWORKING DUST COLLECTION ATTACHMENT AND GRINDING TOOL
Grinding chips generated during metalworking are collected, and dust is collected using a dust collector. A metalworking dust collection attachment removably attachable to a grinding tool including a tip tool includes a suction port that collects grinding chips generated during grinding with the tip tool, and a collector connected to the suction port to collect the grinding chips sucked into the suction port. The collector cools the grinding chips.
