Work-Holding and Molding Device for Variable Irregular Shapes
A work-holding device comprising a housing, at least one pin, a cover, and a flow regulation mechanism. The housing further comprising at least one chamber, the chambers having a first end, a second end, a fluid opening at the first end, and a pin opening at the second end. The pins having an actuating end and a base end. The pins are arranged in the chambers with the base end within the chamber and the actuating end extending through the pin opening. The flow regulation mechanism is attached to the cover and configured to regulate fluid flow into and out of the chambers.
Clamping system
A clamping system for a component, especially for an article of footwear or a sports article, may include: (a) a first member; (b) a second member, (c) a pivot about which the first member and the second member are rotatable relative to each other; (d) a first bracket slidably movable along a first path on the first member and a second path, by a first distance, on the second member, when the first member and the second member are rotated relative to each other from a first angle to a second angle; and (e) at least a second bracket slidably movable along a third path on the first member and a fourth path, by a second distance, on the second member, when the first member and the second member are rotated relative to each other from the first angle to the second angle.
Workpiece Holding Devices and Associated Methods
An example device includes fingers that are adjustable longitudinally and configured to grip a workpiece. A clamping or locking mechanism can be used to secure the fingers at desired longitudinal positions. In examples, a retaining component is disposed through the fingers and is configured to retain the fingers in lateral directions.
WORKPIECE HOLDING APPARATUS
A workpiece holding apparatus includes: a main body; at least one shaft member capable of coming into contact with a workpiece; a clamping device into which the shaft member is inserted, the clamping device being attached to the main body and capable of switching between an unclamping state that releases the shaft member and a clamping state that clamps the shaft member; and a trigger member configured to switch the clamping device between the unclamping state and the clamping state. The trigger member comes into direct contact with the workpiece, or comes into indirect contact with the workpiece via at least a part of the shaft member, thus moving relative to the main body, and the clamping device switches from the unclamping state to the clamping state.
Apparatus for supporting at least one component
An apparatus for supporting at least one component includes a supporting device having a first and at least one second support element, which are mounted movably relative to each other, and a shape-defining device with a surface contour which fits, at least in some regions, a contour of a supporting section of the component. The supporting device can be placed against the shape-defining device, and, by contact of the at least two support elements with the surface contour of the shape-defining device, the first support element can be moved into a defined position relative to the at least second support element, in which position the at least two support elements reproduce the contour of the supporting section, at least in some regions.
WORKPIECE CLAMPING DEVICE, AND PROCESSING SYSTEM HAVING WORKPIECE CLAMPING DEVICE
A workpiece clamping device able to perform a set-up changing operation for clamping members depending on the kind of a workpiece to be processed, at a low cost, by a simple method. The workpiece clamping device includes a bracket, a movable part which is movable with respect to the bracket, a clamping member to be attached to and detached from the bracket or the movable part, to clamp a workpiece, and a detachable device for detachably coupling the bracket or the movable part to the clamping member.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PART
A method for manufacturing a part by additive manufacturing including providing CAD data defining a geometry of the part, providing CAD data defining a geometry of a first clamping element, wherein the geometry of the first clamping element is determined in consideration of a geometry of a second clamping element such that the first clamping element can be clamped into the second clamping element for holding the part in a desired position for post-processing, generating machining data based on the CAD data defining the geometry of the part and the geometry of the first clamping element, and forming the part and the first clamping element by additive manufacturing process based on the machining data. The first clamping element has at least two parallel side surfaces and the second clamping element has two vice jaws positioned in parallel to each other along a longitudinal direction of the second clamping element.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HANDLING A COMPOSITE WORKPIECE IN A WORK CELL
A system for handling a composite workpiece includes a work cell and a plurality of workpiece holders to hold a composite workpiece in the work cell. Each one of the plurality of workpiece holders is selectively controlled to index the composite workpiece in the work cell and to conform the composite workpiece to an as-built shape of the composite workpiece.
Apparatus for Supporting a Workpiece for a Plurality of Supporting Pins Which are Oriented Parallel and are Individually Longitudinally Movable
An apparatus for supporting a workpiece has a frame and a supporting field consisting of end faces of a plurality of supporting pins which are guided parallel to one another in their main extension directions in the frame and which can each be pushed in against a restoring force with respect to the frame. Further, the apparatus has a detection device including a light barrier in order to detect relative positions of at least some of the supporting pins with respect to the frame. A light source and a light sensor of the light barrier are facing one another across the main extension directions of the supporting pins. The light source is divided into a plurality of sub-sources along one side of the supporting field, and the light sensor is divided into a plurality of sub-sensors along another side situated opposite the aforementioned side of the supporting field.
